Sabotaging the Tea Party

Now comes the aspect of Crash the Tea Party that ought to get the attention of all mainstream media journalists: Crash the Party is undertaking to sabotage Tea Party events by “infiltrating the Tea Party itself” and then acting “in ways which exaggerate their least-appealing qualities (misspelled signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.).”

In other words, some on the Left in American politics are running a KGB-like “false flag” operation to discredit the Tea Party. They couldn’t sell the transparently nonsensical idea that Tea Partiers are just a bunch of racists, homophobes and morons, so the Crash the Party agents on the Left are infiltrating the Tea Party in order to pose as a bunch of racists, homophobes and morons.

All of this has led to Tea Party people invading the anarchist sites, declaring internet jihad on the black clad ones,  and led to some interesting articles like Anarchists + Tea Party = Black Tea Party? ,  Tea Parties & The White Working Class and High Noon is Too Late for Tea: Seeking Ways to Engage and Oppose the Tea Party Movement. Watching the stooges of the Left attack the Tea Party as stooges of the Right is just too much fun. I love it. What is even “funner” is watching these “revolutionaries” of the Left who hate big banks, big business, and big government decide to start duking it out with these “revolutionaries” of the Right who hate big banks, big business, and big government. The confused clashing of factional ideologies is even more interesting when the faction on the Right accuses the faction of the Left of being a proxy army of big government and the faction of the Left accuses the faction of the Right of being a proxy army for big business. Perhaps to further muddy the water I would submit that behind each side is a possible genuine belief in “liberty” as they each define it. The Left believes liberty is the freedom to do what you want and the Right has the tradition that liberty is the freedom to do what you ought (see Lord Acton). Who is correct will be for you the reader (and history) to decide. History is written by the victor so such struggles are indeed important and are not just empty exercises in rhetoric and exertion. In the end, words and ideas are extremely powerful and do make a difference. They form the concepts and thoughts of entire nations, peoples, and ideologies. And they have many times changed the course of history dramatically.

And the mainstream media that is supposed to actually report and analyze such “news” is either marching lock-step with our old friend Barack and labeling the Tea Party as the klan without the sheets or are absolutely clueless and still trying to do the research necessary to find out what a yellow flag with a snake on it means. But I digress.

Despite their attempts at intellectual respectability my anarcho-communists friends are little more than forces of utopian chaos who, knowingly or unknowingly, in the end serve the same masters and manipulators of the Left, as well as those who seek to concentrate the power of the same “State” that the anarchists claim they are so against.

And whoever authored the pseudo-intellectual High Noon is Too Late for Tea: Seeking Ways to Engage and Oppose the Tea Party Movement should really become my facebook friend. I found the article and the attempts to analyze and integrate into his musings both right and left wing libertarianism, white supremacy, reactionary movements, capitalism, fascism, and a “fissures and fractures” theory on how to undermine a bunch of older, middle class folks not happy with big deficits and the unconstitutional nationalization and socialization of entire industries fascinating and something that was probably composed, and should totally be hashed out, over a second or third pitcher of beer.

My wife thinks I’m crazy for loving the study of politics, ideology, and the forces at play in society. You never know, she may be right. And just to just end this odd post with even an odder piece of news, the FBI has admitted to destroying a file that it had on Obama’s communist sympathizer grandfather who selected little Barry’s mentor when he was young. Sometimes I think the whole country has gone crazy. If it did it all started on 9-11. The country changed, wars were launched, the divides between right and left crystalized for perpetuity and the missteps of the neo-con president paved the way for the twisted policies of the neo-socialist president. What strange times we live in. I wonder what bin Laden thinks of the chain of events his actions put into motion…
