WHERE IS JACKSON? WHERE IS SHARPTON? WHERE IS FARRAKHAN?
Does ignoring the truth make it not so?
Think about it. The Chicago Tribune even went so far as to defend it. Called it “insignificant” to the root of the awful crimes on which it reported. The liberal media and America’s self-appointed black leaders are involved in a “soft” cover-up: Black-on-black crime in the streets of Chicago is out of control.
We saw the same phenomenon in the (non)-response to (black) “flash-mob” violence a couple of years ago. Only the brave (black) mayor of Philadelphia had the cojones to not only speak the truth, but to chastise black youths for their indiscriminate (and yes, racist) crimes – against random white people - solely because they were white. Now, it’s murder – and its getting worse. And what do we hear? Crickets.
The “mainstream” media will not speak the truth. The Rat will.
The reason the “mainstream” media – by virtue of disingenuous rationalization – refuses to speak out against black-on-black crime is this: To liberals, it is more important to ignore the ugly reality of blacks killing blacks at a record pace than it is to take the risk of alienating (living) blacks – as if telling the truth about Chicago street violence implies some sort of ethnic disloyalty. This, of course, begs the question:
What could be more racist than ignoring the fact that innocent blacks are being killed indiscriminately – simply because they are being killed by other blacks? It’s kind of ”double-racism,” isn’t it?
Consider the following:
As of August 29th, 55 homicides were recorded in Chicago - making it the deadliest month of the year.
Two other months this year recorded 50 or more homicides – March and May.
Through mid-June, homicides were up 38% in Chicago over the same period in 2011.
Through mid-June, Chicago homicides outnumbered the number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan over the same time period.
Various theories exist as to why Chicago’s murder rate is out of control. It’s been blamed on everything from hot weather to high unemployment in “some neighborhoods,” but the most likely explanation seems to be this: The splintering of the Windy City’s drug gangs. Sgt. Matthew Little of the Chicago Police Department’s gang enforcement unit sees it this way:
“In the past, the gangs were very organized from the top down. As more gang leaders are arrested, convicted and sent to prison, the gangs they left behind have become very splintered. These kids have guns and they end up using them.”

Jeff Williams is a former gang member. He now works in the streets for CeaseFire, a group that tries to quell gang violence. He sees a lot of this summer’s killings as personal:
“A lot of cliques, getting into it with each other, basically over real senseless things. It can range from somebody stepped on a shoe, to a guy swerving in the street, somebody got wet with a water gun and didn’t want to get wet with a water gun. Anything could spark at any given time.”
Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton? Where is Louis Farrakhan? Where is the New Black Panther Party?
The ugly truth is the ugly truth: Chicago’s young blacks are killing each other in record numbers – and America’s race-baiters – er – self-appointed black leaders are far more interested in running around the country crying “Racism!” where it does not exist; far more interested in promulgating a racist “us vs. them” mentality – designed to keep as many blacks on the liberal plantation as possible; far more interested in power and self-promotion than in the integrity and courage to call it what it is and condemn it outright.
What could be more racist than that?

Is it really hyperbole to say something like, “The Democratic Party. STILL running the plantation, since 1850″?
Has anyone run such a successful “swerve” operation as long as these guys have – swearing to blacks that the party is totally helping them, while at the same time keeping them so despondent and dependent on the party?
Yet, JB, if you asked blacks to name three things the Democrats have done for them – with positive, quantifiable impact – over the last 50 years, you’d get a lot of hemming and hawing. (As you would from the average white “less-than-informed” liberal.)
At the risk of being REALLY racist, Chicago is not the only city to see a crime wave this summer. Many of us in the largish cities are seeing the same thing. Is it the hot summer? Lack of a pennant race? Or is it the little tidbit that it’s been just over 20 years since the years of the last spike like this, before all the current hoodlum hoards were born and it took that long to raise the next generation. It’s rotten to say, but after many of the hoodlum generation just older than me went to prison (or state pens) the murder rate dropped to a quarter of what it had been (and the cops quit coming to the pool to look for witnesses).
I seriously wonder if we’re at the point in the cycle again. Sad and unfortunate, but, here at least, there seems to be a pattern.
Amen! The truth can be brutal, but it’s the only road out. The “double racism” you point out is like some weird strain of moral equivalency–if, in deference to political correctness, the crimes of black murderers are minimized, that political correctness demands an equal measure of disrespect for innocent black victims. Racism born of cowardice. Lose/lose. And lose.
Yup. But hey, why show an equal amount of “respect” for innocent (dead) black victims? They can’t vote – er – scratch that, sure they can.
Only if they were voting age before they were killed.
Seriously, it’s been about 20 years since the last nasty crime wave died down when so many criminals went to jail. Their successors have grown up. The last time, the wave took about five years to cycle through. The color of the skin of the victim should not matter. But, it was true then and it’s true now – the most frequent cause of death for young black males is other young black males. The MSM and their handlers don’t want the other ghettoites to know that (although, they’ve got to have a good idea).
Good point. I think the point I make in the post – shared by existing and ex-gang members alike – is valid. The “splintering of gangs,” due to imprisonment (or murder) of many of their “leaders,” has left a vacuum – which is apparently (anxiously) being filled by a whole bunch of angry young black dudes – with guns.
If guns were the only deadly weapons (and if they could actually shoot straight)…. Don’t forget, one of the most classic board games ever featured not just a revolver, but a rope, a candlestick, a lead pipe, a wrench and a knife. Vehicles and even water can be used as a deadly weapon. Doesn’t change that the nasty people are criminals.
On a related note, where’s the outrage from black leaders over the disproportionate number of black babies aborted since Roe v Wade? That’s not just racism, that’s practically ethnic cleansing!!!
