Republicans and Democrats Forge Bipartisan Compromise, Rip Constitution in Half

It was a rainy day at the Capitol building as Republican and Democrat lawmakers gathered to ceremoniously mark the occasion of a historic bipartisan compromise.  The two parties put partisan politics aside to work together on a bill that would have seen the complete nullification of the U.S. Constitution.  After reaching an impasse along party lines, with all Democrats voting to put the musty old parchment in the shredder “for the good of the children” and all Republicans voting to keep the document around as a quaint memento, the two sides finally arrived at a bi-partisan solution: to rip the Constitution in half.

The Politics of Fear

Niccolò Machiavelli, the famed Florentine political philosopher, once posed the question whether it is better to be feared than loved. It is well-remembered by every schoolboy that his reply was that, “it is better to be feared than loved,” with the provision that both fear and love must be unattainable. But too often lost in the passage is the caveat that, “Nevertheless a prince ought to inspire fear in such a way that, if he does not win love, he avoids hatred; because he can endure very well being feared whilst he is not hated, which will always be as long as he abstains from the property of his citizens and subjects and from their women.”

Articulating an American Grand Strategy

If we take into account the broadest implications of President Obama’s disastrous domestic and foreign policies, a few strategical revisions for America’s future are in order. The following presents a fairly clear and comprehensive roadmap for helping the United States become a more freer, more prosperous, and securer nation.

1. The U.S. should act in its own self-interest first and foremost as a political mandate determining its foreign policy grand strategy.

The Myth That America Spends Too Much on Defense

The Fiscal Year 2013 defense budget promises to slash $43 billion, leaving $662 billion to equip the world’s largest economic and strongest military power. Normally, cutting the defense budget could be justified considering America’s financial stress, if it were peacetime, and if the threats were relatively few and non-taxing.

We’ve all seen the statistic – “America spends more on defense than the next ten largest military budgets combined.” While true, the pre-eminent superpower checks in on defense spending at a meager 4.7% of GDP in 2010, ranking tenth overall.

Andy Stern I: The Maoist Mastermind behind Obama

No single man in America has been more important to Barack Obama’s succession to the presidency than former SEIU president Andy Stern. Though not as whispered about in conservative circles as the media mogul and currency destroyer George Soros, Stern’s union muscle propelled Obama into the Oval Office, a source of political clout every bit as crucial as the fawning media coverage that allowed the president’s “hope and change” mythology to take hold in the public mind.

Breaking Bad: When States Become Evil

Evil states aren’t suddenly thrust upon a people, with a madman declaring his intentions to brutally enslave a people. Although evil statesdon’t appear announced, there are warnings that such regimes are impending, despite all propaganda slogans of the party’s admirable intentions.

One can tell that a state is becoming evil when there is a moral separation of means and ends. If evil is advocated by major political forces to accomplish the utopian or unreasonable good, then events are put into motion that lead inexorably to misery and even bloodshed on a massive scale.

The Role of Christianity in History

Lessons from the Roman Conquest of the Britons

Nothing forthcoming should be alleged to be in advocacy of theocratic government, a fusion of political and social power repressive to those minds not disposed to believe in the invisible or the not easily demonstrable, and an arrangement of civil government laid to waste during The Enlightenment. But it should be noted the role religion plays in reinforcing the bases of moral authority in the state.

The following is a passage from the Scottish philosopher David Hume’s A History of England. A relatively early section on The Britons, strewn with citations from eminent first hand sources like Julius Caesar and historians of the caliber of Tacitus and the Venerable Bede, makes explicit the necessity of crushing the religion of a conquered people in order to make them obedient and useful servants of the state.

Firstly, let us consider the role of the Druids among the Britons in preserving the social and political order. In this caste resided considerable power, and its functions were varied and vital to the tribe. [Continued at Rogue Government]

Climategate II: Emails Provide Early Christmas for Manmade Global Warming Deniers

Sometimes the holiday season does come early. For the Green Grinches intent on stealing our freedom, along with a whole lot of our dough, a bevy of swiped emailgifts being dubbed Climategate II released near midnight the 21st promise a different kind of Cyber Monday for the multi-billion dollar climate fraud industry.

Among the Who-pudding and roast beast is a feast of political-scientific incest exposing the lucrative business of warm-mongering. The examples are many, but a sit down with a cup of coffee and an eye to examining the political assumptions behind the climate “science” can be revelatory for even the non-specialist (like all of those lawyers and rights activists who participated in the first IPCC).

President Obama’s 2012 election campaign is breathing new life now that he has finally tied “Zombie Candidate,” whom he has trailed since the debt ceiling debacle, and is closing the gap on Tweety Bird, Box of Crayons, and Can of Spaghetti Os.

We’re All Xenophobes Now

The foreign, the alien, the unfamiliar is held out by the American left as one of the main causes of social conflict. Those citizens who stubbornly believe in their own particular ideology or creed are thus held out as particularistic, selfish, dogmatic, bigoted, chauvinist, jingoistic, and xenophobic.

But most Americans are not opposed to changing their system of government and moral code because they are afraid of the foreign because it is foreign. [Continued]

A Fate Worse Than War

Modern political scientists weave their utopian schemes of world peace from the safe, comfy environments of university faculty lounges, stocked with amenities and luxuries only dreamed of in the centralized, state-planned economies of their imaginations. The two primary agendas of today’s intellectual elites, world peace and a world without want, are interrelated in ways seldom contemplated by the intelligentsia, since they are blinded to deeper introspection by the unquestioned group think regarding their “good intentions.”

The motivation to build a world of peace and harmony is the foundation of the study of political science in the United States.  Such a drive is expressed well in Stephen van Evera’s Causes of War, on the very first page: [Continued]

UN to Build New Playground for Socialists, Islamists & Despots

America is the UN’s playground. Literally.

The consortium of Islamists, socialists and assorted despots intends to buy up a lot reserved for Robert Moses Playground, a perfect place for the American left to try to set up their one-world daycare state.

Sure, they’re new wave hippies. And sure, they’re a variety of commie, with their chants for “social justice” and their legal representation by the veritably communist National Lawyers Guild. [Continued]

Raising Cain: GOP Sees Shake Up as Herman Cain New Frontrunner

There’s a new godfather in town, and it’s high time for the big payback.

Fresh off a no-nonsense performance in last week’s GOP debate, Hermann Cain is poised to shake up the field and debunk the outright lies that tea partiers care more about skin color than they do about their country. Never was about that, and mush-minded moderates will soon figure that out.

And there’s nothing the lamestream media can do about it. [Continued]

Pop Subversion

Conservatives tend to ignore pop music and see it as frivolous junk cluttering up the airwaves.  But a closer look at the culture industry reveals it as an insidious piece of the totalitarian puzzle, as potent as any bullets or bombs could be in forcing Americans into collectivism, if not more so.

Before explaining why and how the music industry is an implemental part of the left’s scheme to demoralize America, let’s set the stage by looking at the first ten songs of Billboard’s Hot 100 in the Pop category for the week ending 9-17-2011: [Continued]

But what has ensued is a fog of uncertainty, swallowing up a nation unsure of its place in the world, and its direction heading into the future. [Continued]

New Left Designs Craven Video Game: Tea Party Zombie Shooting Spree

The left’s new tone is taking it to the next level – quite literally. Now if you’re a bored union thug you don’t have to beat up tea party sons-a-bitches in person after a long day sipping beer on the job, you have a whole new way to vent your hostility towards those making outrageous demands like “pay your own way”…you can virtually shoot and hack them to death!

In the hot new first-person shooter “Tea Party Zombies Must Die,” you are tasked with ridding the world of undead FoxNews fiends and dastardly Koch brothers. From Democracy to Technocracy

No one disputes that our lives are better because of technology. Most of us love the convenience that comes with GPS technology, electronic banking, I-phones, and laptop computers. The computer and the Internet have expanded the realm of free speech and have allowed people all over the world to communicate relatively freely. But we should not conflate such technological convenience with personal freedom. Along with advancing communications technology comes the threat of the advancing state. [Continued]

The Forgotten Right: John Locke and The Right of Resistance

American politicians today seem to think themselves invincible sovereigns who can toy with the fates of three hundred million people and there is nothing the latter can do about it.  They blow the taxpayers’ money with no regard for the country’s future, endlessly meddle with the economy, and brazenly flaunt The Constitution that grants them any power to begin with.  The same hubris that causes politicians to ignore the laws of economics leads them to ignore political history.  This is not just to the nation’s peril, but to their own.

While reading an academic article on Karl Popper constructively criticizing “The Open Society and Its Enemies,” I encountered an extended section on John Locke and his contributions to solving problems of sovereignty, political order, and legitimacy. The implications of the passage are worth noting because Locke’s principles are foundational in their influence on The American Constitution. (Along with Montesquieu’s principles of divided powers.) Biden Time: Uncle Joe Rambles About New Stimulus, China’s One Child Policy

The world stage can be a lonely place.  Absent the vacationing President Obama, whose sojourn in Martha’s Vineyard is even peeving the local residents, Uncle Joe has verbally tapdanced from engagement to engagement in full media spotlight.  And boy, is our vice president a dim bulb.

Normally, frothy-mouthed leftists and seething-mad patriots would be transfixed on every contrived-to-be-soaring, shopworn syllable of America’s father of lies, someone whose cloud of deception is so thick one can actually smell the sulphur whenever he enters the room. And normally, somewhere behind the billowing smog of obfuscation and half-truths accompanying this slight and slippery presence we call president stands a little man, whose upturned eyebrows, wispy hair, and diminutive stature strikes one as perhaps the relation of Ming the Merciless. It turns out to be Biden the Brainless, as it were. [Continued]

The Oracle of Obama Hosts Capitalist Last Supper for America’s Socialist Messiah

Billionaire Democrat bankroller Warren Buffett is hosting a $38,500 a plate fundraiser to get Obama re-elected and thus ensure the death of free market capitalism in America. Consider it a capitalist last supper for the socialist messiah Barrack Obama.

Why a fabulously wealthy investment wizard would conspire with ardent leftists to undermine the economic system that made him a fortune is a bit of a mystery for most. But billionaires in America are more prevalently voting with their wallets for market fascism over market capitalism. [Continued]

The Communizing of America

The American flag is under attack.  The reference to “God” in the Pledge of Allegiance is under attack.  And now the very Pledge of Allegiance itself is under attack.

Part of the communists’ plan for subverting the country is to remove loyalty oaths and other expressions of patriotism from the public sphere.  One could probably point to all of our nation’s serious troubles, show how each problem relates in some way to communist subversion, and document it, but instead I will provide some sources for the reader to put the pieces together himself. We Must Rise

Once upon a time there was a land called America.

Built by hard-working men with their bare hands and with grit in their teeth, it was a nation of steel beams and bursting silos.

The workday sun would break cold and wan over the fields of flaxen straw, its watchful eye beckoning men to a day full of toil and sweat. A cup of coffee, a kiss for a loved one, and a hard hat grasped on the way out the door.

Combines would crawl the face of the earth. Barges would drift down the nation’s arteries. Gray behemoths would smoke and churn across the land on iron rails too frail to hold the heaving land back.

Then something happened. [Continued]

Has the Long Peace Become a Long War on the Individual?

America Under Siege by An Axis of Stupidity

It has been remarked that the definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior over and over and expecting a different result.  That’s true, but that’s also the definition for stupidity.

We spend like there’s no tomorrow – and if we keep it up, there won’t be.  We tax businesses into extinction.  We measure our economics in terms of compassion instead of productivity, never quite noticing the inverse correlation.  We witness our once-bustling cities being transformed into dilapidated welfare hubs, surrounded by collapsing industrial infrastructure and sprawling shanty towns.

And yet, people continue to vote Democrat. [Continue]

Socialism – American Style II

What is Wrong with Socialism?

There remains a fundamental ideological task that must be accomplished in order to help defuse support of any Socialist takeover, and that is to persuasively answer the question: What is wrong with Socialism?

Socialism is a necessarily totalitarian ideology that seeks to synthesize the political, economic, social, and private life of individuals and place it all in control of the state. Indeed, it is capitalism and its assumptions that make the division of political, economic, social, and private life possible.

Individual rights, and specifically, private property, free exchange, freedom of labor movement, are necessary for political and social freedom. One cannot labor freely under a system when one’s economic or even personal fortunes are subject to the whims of the masses or are predicated on one’s political attitudes, which in practice means support for the individuals in control of the government. Socialism – American Style I

Introduction: The Fatal Assumption of a Capitalist America

Socialism and capitalism are the two great political ideals of our age. Despite the horrific experience of communist regimes and the formal dissolution of the failed Soviet Union, socialism has not lost currency in American intellectuals’ imagination.

While the great majority of Americans, who are practical-minded and appreciative of the lessons of history, rightly associate Socialism with authoritarianism and poverty, the intellectuals of our era acknowledge no such failure of Socialism. This is because they have not yet been the ones in charge. These supposed masterminds study socialist regimes not with an eye to why they have failed, but as to how they can be improved. The American intellectuals’ tendency to assume the moral superiority of Socialism insulates them from any introspection beyond the theoretical bounds of socialist thought.

Freedom and capitalism have been assumed by Americans to be the omnipresent, invincible, and eternal characteristics of their country, if simply through patriotic sloganeering alone.  The erroneous assumption that “it can’t happen here” has given the socialists virtually free reign to commandeer institutions that can implement Socialism from above.

Man Against Himself: Anti-Humanism and the New Dark Ages

America’s stunning decline, a reversal of fortune we citizens are supposed to presume is a spontaneous turn of events, is as precipitous as it is pre-planned. What appears to many as a natural, organic process of cultural decay is actually the result of ideological warfare carried out by the left for decades.

Our civilization is thoroughly saturated with cultural marxism to the extent that we less conscious and introspective Americans are like fish that do not know they are wet. The moral content of nearly every cultural phenomenon is almost undeniably leftist, and its mode of expression is often designed to frustrate rational thought or defy analysis.

The technological advances in mass communications brought about greater empowerment of the individual to communicate with his fellow man. The information revolution stood poised to bring about the insights of The Enlightenment to all mankind, and thus to undermine the ideological bases of state power. But these technological innovations also provided powerful tools to the state, and its facilitator, the collectivists to manipulate what they refer to as public consciousness.

What if America were run by Democrats?

America was founded with the sage advice of its first president to beware not only of foreign entanglements, but of domestic factions.  But what if there were no factions, no discord, no internal strife, only unity in the one party that truly represented America – “the Democrat Party”? What would America have looked like as it developed?

The Greatest Threat to Our Free Nation: Public Debt and the Peril of Obamacare

The political opposition to nationalized healthcare within Congress is conspicuous by its absence. Despite the presence of widespread and deep public opposition to “Obamacare,” many politicians are pretending like the upcoming election is not a referendum in some aspects on big government power-grabs like nationalized healthcare.

A Rasmussen Reports poll conducted on July 4th, 2011 found that “53% of Likely Voters at least somewhat favor repeal of the health care law, while 39% at least somewhat oppose it. This includes 40% who Strongly Favor repeal and 29% who are Strongly Opposed.”

Despite this level of public opposition, politicians are tending not to run on the repeal of Obamacare. Part of the explanation for this disturbing state of affairs lay in Congress’ exemption of itself from inclusion in the healthcare system that it would legislatively impose on the citizenry at large. President Obama’s waivers for mandated healthcare coverage continues the trend of the political class issuing arbitrary exemptions from this law.

Enviroleftist Locusts

After an ideological slumber of nearly half a century, an international fascist alliance has formed under the green banner of environmentalism and like a swarm of locusts threatens to devour everything in sight. Professional looters of all stripes have suddenly and miraculously appeared upon the scene unveiling an objectively pointless carbon tax, as well as mendicants for the swelling coffers taken up for the new religion of manmade global warming.

Like nature, history can be cyclical.

All religions have their prophets, and the environmentalist left surely has theirs. But unlike prophets of non-secular religions, these charlatans preach asceticism while luxuriating in the bounties of capitalist-industrial society. When you are the latest Jesus Christ Superstar on the scene, words and deeds are besides the point.
