Obama’s ludicrous comparison of OWS with the Tea Party movement

Biden talks Economy While Obama’s on Vacation! Oh. My. God.

Yet Another Must Read

One thing that the entire budget/debt/deficit argument has done for us is continued discussion out in ether-space on the name calling. It’s gotten pretty out of hand. Jeffrey Kuhner of the WorldTribune.com has a piece from Friday called Tea Party ‘terrorists’? The Ruling Class Comes Unglued that is worth a read. Despite the president winning this one, the rhetoric has been ratcheted up considerably. Mr. Kuhner believes this is the beginning of the end for the socialist utopia dream in the US. We’ll see.

Do Republicans see America as a Banana Republic Surrounded by a Moat Full of Alligators?

DEAR LEADER GROWS TESTY AS REPUBLICANS HOLD TO PRINCIPLE

The testy budget talks between Barack Obama and Congressional leaders got a bit more testy Sunday, with an irritated Dear Leader reminding the Republicans that America is not a” banana republic.” (He prefers “People’s Republic.”)

As a result, Obama did what any president worth       his weight in hypocrisy would do: HE FIRED UP  THE TELEPROMPTER AND GAVE A WHINY CAMPAIGN SPEECH TO THE COUNTRY.

Will Obama Throw Biden Under the Bus?

VP MAY BE LATEST VICTIM OF ‘THE BUCK STOPS EVERYWHERE ELSE’

Let’s begin with the understanding that Joe Biden is plenty capable of throwing himself under the bus quicker than you can say Neil Kinnock. Let’s also begin with the premise that Barack Obama will do or say anything he believes will help him win in 2012.

Another Example of Obama’s “Transparent” Administration

Speaking of Censorship…

Joe Biden endorses Jim Yarmouth

Joe Biden, fresh on cussing out a custard man, came to Kentucky to endorse Jim Yarmouth.  Only problem, it’s John Yarmouth:

Along the way, he’s taking credit for creating 800 new jobs at GE over the next two years, hopefully.

That’s wonderful considering GE has cut 19,000 jobs over the last two decades.

However, given the GE CEO passed out from too much heat, at a GE plant, they might want to re-focus that push on washers and dryers and shoot for better air conditioning. But then again, how often do they have to compete with Joe Biden?

More Biden “Funnies”

I was pleased that Obama had chosen Biden as his running mate, because I thought that would seriously affect the election outcome.
Silly me.
These days, I am praying extra hard that Obama remains in good health.

It would be interesting to see the dynamic between these two over the coming years, but I suspect Obama will want to keep Joe in a closet as much as possible.

…The scene happened when Obama asked Biden to swear in some senior staff members of the new administration.

“Am I doing this again?” Biden said. He was apparently referring to the fact that he had already sworn in members of Obama’s Cabinet earlier in the day, including some people who were in the room in front of him at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

“For the senior staff,” Obama clarified.
“For the senior staff, all right,” Biden responded.

And then Biden said this: “My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts, Chief Justice Roberts.” The line drew an “oooh” from the audience, the kind one gets after serving up a zinger.

Chief Justice John Roberts, as millions of people saw on Tuesday, had slightly flubbed Obama’s original oath, which prompted Obama to do the same.

Obama did not laugh or even smile at Biden’s line. His look and body language were serious. Cable news outlets replayed the moment prominently…

The 99 Most Memorable, Interesting and Outrageous Political Quotes of 2008

The year 2008 was politically the most exciting and unusual in a generation. It hosted a long, divisive and drama filled campaign season that featured the rapid rise and fall of Rudy Guiliani, Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee, the unlikely rise of John McCain and Barack Obama, and the eventual bitter defeat of Hillary Clinton. It brought us an unusually long and brutal primary with emotional charges of racism and sexism, the rise of the Superdelegate, and the explosion of Sarah Palin upon the national stage. All of this was followed by a rough and tumble presidential campaign whose outcome may have never been truly in doubt but was still a never ending soap opera of charges, counter charges, personal attacks, character assassinations, rumors, smears and the occasional, unexpected surprise.

2008 also also brought us a huge spike in gas prices, more political scandals, a mortgage and credit industry in a state of panic and a sitting president who was almost completely politically powerless in the face of such challenges. Rarely does such an alignment of events occur in a single year and the resulting deluge of memorable political quotes is a goldmine for the blogger, columnist, political junkie, and all those who follow current events. Without further ado I present to you my selection of the 99 most memorable, interesting, and outrageous political quotes of 2008.

Raising McCain

How to win the debate, and the election too

Quote Of The Day, VP Debate Edition

Biden should place a photo of some vaguely swarthy looking old guy on the table and let Palin sweat over the idea that this is some obscure head of state and she will be called upon to name this fellow.

Palin should place a rather large firearm on the table and from time to time when Biden is annoying, frown and gently place her fingertips on the weapon.
