The ruckus continues in Wisconsin but the tide of public opinion seems to be turning against the mob now occupying the state legislature. The days of stuffing oneself at the public trough have to come to an end and Republican governors and legislatures are watching this play out with interest. If WI Republican governor Scott Walker and an allied legislature are able to de-fang the public unions in a state that helped birth the ‘progressive’ movement then it can be done most anywhere.

Since we’re throwing allies under the bus, it would make sense that we will watch a sleazy man like Silvio Berlusconi get his rump handed to him by a bunch of mad Italian women. Interesting news from Russia. A dissident ballerina who came out against the jailing of billionaire Mikhail Khodorkovsky has had her TV show cancelled. She claims to have been forced to have signed a letter supporting Khodorovsky’s first jail sentence, according to this article in Breitbart. Wouldn’t it be nice if Russia got rid of their home-grown tin-pots?
Hosni Mubarak has seen pretty much everyone resigning, even his own son and heir-apparent, Gamal (don’t be stupid enough to believe Hosni when he says he never intended for Gamal to take over, as the man is a liar of the worst order). Hosni’s day is done.

The repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is a DISGRACE that cannot stand!
The Left hoped that by defining homosexuality as an orientation that cannot be changed, rather than a chosen behavior as has been recognized for millenia, they could exploit the goodwill of the civil rights struggle. Civil rights, like feminism, is a positive philosophy when promulgated by persons of integrity with no hidden agendas. However, those of us who were around in those times, or who study real history, know there were many communists and America-haters therein marching with genuine people of good will. It is not the conservatives with resume credits we hear from today, but Charlie Rangel and Jesse Jackson – those who exploit their past. They are exploiters first, and not those persons of consistent character.

Moldova went to the polls last Sunday. It was the third time in 19 months, namely because the Communist Party (if you can believe these people have control of anything in modern-day Europe!) have proven to be too incompetent for Moldovans to tolerate anymore. As for another voice…I know some don’t care for Glenn Beck. I ask, though, for everyone to dvr or watch him all this week. The facts, not just from what he says, but what can be researched, is eye opening and quite frankly, frightening unless we do something about what shall come. Economists state that food inflation shall sky rocket come 2011. I’m not sure how we can all form a liveable budget if milk is nearly $25 a gallon or some God forsaken thing.
I don’t want to speak for Beck’s research, for no matter what is said, there are those that think Glenn Beck is a lunatic simply attempting to promote his books and place fear within the “misguided”. Research what is being said, to those skeptics out there, and to Beck’s trusting listeners. He’s asked for every one of his viewers to reach out to the circles of friends, family, and even our strangers to watch what his team has investigated for this week.
I’m doing my part, if only a small role, to help wise us up and save our country. I’ve never been one for conspiracy theories or wanting to believe that our precious, priviledged American way of life is on a last leg.
People…please. This progressive movement, of which I have been a sleeping giant to, is going to kill our finances, our securities, our way of life, and our entire American culture as we know it. The Republicans in the house majority have a lot of work to do. Real work, real actions, real plans! Republicans…don’t give us any lip service, or you will be blamed for all of the failures to come…that’s how the picture will be formed.
Hats off to this Marine. Hats off to people like Glenn Beck shouting a voice to be listened to. Whether you view for entertainment or information, for God’s sakes, watch his show this week and let’s at least take some notes to learn from.

It gets worse as Anna Chapman, the “sexy spy,” (right…) who bumbled her way into fame gets hired by a bank for her “advice.” Pity poor Russia.
Russian racism is nothing new. Anyone who doesn’t look like a run-of-the-mill Slav, even if you are as pale as the Georgians are, gets called the local equivalent of a nigger (and you’d better believe they find it as offensive as an African-American would). Russian Muslims in general are being treated in a disgraceful and inhuman way in Perm, Siberia, and insurrections are beginning to happen against officers who treat conscripts harshly. More bad news for the Russian Bear, I’m afraid.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel finally, finally states the obvious: unchecked multiculturalism, where people are allowed in to your country when they don’t know the customs, culture or language of the inviting state, end up never assimilating. The usual fools on the radical left will cry “Nazi” in the same way Peter cried “Wolf,” but German citizens will have none of it. The time for cheap threats is done. What Europe needs to do is to develop a spine and start defending its culture from invaders. This is a pleasing development. Let’s see who goes out of their way to block it.

Helena, MT (ConClub) – The Helena School District’s feeble attempts to quell widespread public opposition to teaching a gay activist/liberal/progressive sex-ed program beginning in kindergarten and including homosexuality from the outset, represent too little in the way of real, substantive change. Thus, they have categorically failed to impress what turned out to be a small army of local critics here. A well attended meeting hosted by Helena Youth Advocates (HYA), a grassroots organization comprised largely of concerned parents was held at the Public Library this evening. As well as vocal parents, it appeared to include opposition activists, politicians and even one teacher (who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons).

Just up the interstate from me is the Denver metro area. Unfortunately, for many years, we have experienced a constant stream of questionable shootings and police beatings (another here) with little being done about it by anyone in authority. With the increasing prevalence of video cameras and cell phones some of these are starting to get caught on tape. Here are just two of the most recent incidents that are now dominating the local news every night. What makes this all the more interesting is that the current Denver mayor is running for governor and has gone from covering these incidents up to now playing Pontius Pilate and washing his hands of the entire thing. No concept of leadership or taking responsibility but only now as the press and community are howling for blood has he reopened the case and turned it over to the FBI to make a determination if the first incident below was appropriate. The second and more recent incident is “under investigation” as well.
It’s been a strange week. Not that any have been terribly normal since January 2009. First we had Howard Stern trashing Democrats:
To which Robert Gibbs suggested the “professional left” should be drug tested. Howard Stern on drugs? No way.
Also during this day of both Perseids AND a massive CME, Gibbs suggested those same “professional liberals” would only be happy with Dennis Kucinich. Am I supposed to think that’s merely a coincidence? I ain’t buying it.
And to top it all off, Charlie Rangel spent 37 minutes of Congress’s time belaboring everyone that he’s not a criminal, just stupid, and that some simple reprimand’s not a good enough charge, he wants expulsion. He then threw a party. This of course comes on the heels of Nancy Pelosi’s claiming that she had nothing to do with the ethics charges against Rangel or Waters. “Draining the swamp” only applies to conservatives obviously, duh.

One of the greatest tragedies Afghanistan ever faced happened on September 10, 2001, when Ahmad Shah Masood, an honorable ban who was sure to end up leading the country, was assassinated by Taliban posing as an interview crew. I would have rather seen Abdullah Abdullah win the last election cycle, but the Afghan people now get to taste the fruits, bitter and otherwise, of their decisions.
