An In-depth Analysis of Lieberman’s Cybersecurity Bill 2011: Giving Birth to Big Brother

An In-depth Analysis of Lieberman’s Cybersecurity Bill 2011: Giving Birth to Big Brother.

After reading the revamped Cyber Security Bill 2011 sponsored by Joe Lieberman (co-sponsored by Senators Rockefeller*, Snowe, Collins, Lieberman & Carper) , shock and anger quickly set in. While the nation has been watching endless news stories about our congressmen quibbling over a measly two trillion dollars, Senator Lieberman has been silently slipping the most treacherous, deceitful & manipulative bill ever created through the Senate. When Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (SCHSGA), first proposed the earlier version of the bill (Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010, S.3480), critics slammed him and it for being too broad in scope and for including a ‘kill switch’ for the Internet- so reminiscent of Hosni Mubarak’s during the Egyptian uprising. Lieberman blithely brushed criticism aside, rejected the idea of a ‘kill switch’ and claimed that… continue reading…

Fate Worse than Debt?

The debate seemed to be: Raise the Debt Ceiling or Don’t Raise the Debt Ceiling?
Really? How about: This Whole Thing Could have Been Easily Avoided If We Stopped Buying DEBT! Pay it down. Zero Debt NOW. Mandate: All pork barrel spending automatically goes toward the debt until its Gone.
Step One: Last Years Revenues? THAT’s your baseline budget. No more legislating dollar amount spending:The NEW deal is a percentage of Last Years Revenue. Shave off -I dunno- 20%? off the top for the debt. The other 80% is what congress has to work with. The amount is decided, only how big of a slice goes where is left to decide. End of story, Morning Glory.

Who Is Rupert Murdoch & Who Controls the News?

Who Is Rupert Murdoch & Who Controls the News?.

Author Short Little Rebel has uncovered and fully documents a scandal that most Americans are completely unaware of- that a handful of powerful elite own all of America’s news outlets in what looks like a conspiracy cartel.  This cartel of news ownership has met with each & every Presidential candidate and can deny or grant news coverage as political leverage to swing events in their favor.  The most stunning revelation is how hundreds of millions of dollars of tax payer money was used to bail this cartel out and preserve it’s major ‘vehicle companies’.   Her article includes links to the stock market and charts which prove her thesis.  It is most alarming and Americans need to act now.

…”To summarize: these are the six private companies that own all the news: Fidelity Investments, The Vanguard Group, Capital Group Companies, Price (TROW) Group (though technically public, is actually private), and to a lesser extent Wellington Management Co. LLP and Dodge & Cox.”  Read More..

Pre-1967 Borders for Israel? Why Our President is Dangerous

Obama friend arrested for soliciting prostitute

Don’t try to pin this on the prez. Not cool. But it shows that one should watch the friends they keep. Yahoo/AP have the story here.

ElBaradei says if Israel attacks Gaza Egypt will counterattack: website

Is this a power-play on the part of Mohamed ElBaradei? Is he looking to cast his lot in with the Muslim Brotherhood? If so, his true colors are showing. He behaved despicably during the Iraq engagement, and has been a thorn to both American and Israeli interests for some time. Egypt’s fortunes are slowly slipping away, and it will become a state along the lines of Iran if the brave Egyptian populace doesn’t do away with their refuse quickly.

"Deepening chaos in Syria, in particular, could dash any remaining hopes for a Middle East peace agreement, several analysts said."

Wisconsin – Union Mob Article and Video Roundup

The ruckus continues in Wisconsin but the tide of public opinion seems to be turning against the mob now occupying the state legislature. The days of stuffing oneself at the public trough have to come to an end and Republican governors and legislatures are watching this play out with interest. If WI Republican governor Scott Walker and an allied legislature are able to de-fang the public unions in a state that helped birth the ‘progressive’ movement then it can be done most anywhere.

“The accelerating clash between the private and public sectors obviously involves ideology, but a lot of it is simple economic combat. The people who pay for government are struggling with, and beginning to fight against, the unsustainable demands of the people who get paid by government.” – Co State Sen. Shawn Mitchell

‘If not now, when?’ A million furious Italian women protesters demand the head of Berlusconi over ‘underage sex’ scandal

Since we’re throwing allies under the bus, it would make sense that we will watch a sleazy man like Silvio Berlusconi get his rump handed to him by a bunch of mad Italian women. Kremlin ‘bans critical ballerina from TV’

Interesting news from Russia.  A dissident ballerina who came out against the jailing of billionaire Mikhail Khodorkovsky has had her TV show cancelled. She claims to have been forced to have signed a letter supporting Khodorovsky’s first jail sentence, according to this article in Breitbart. Wouldn’t it be nice if Russia got rid of their home-grown tin-pots?

Egypt crisis: Mubarak’s son Gamal among party leaders to resign, state TV says

Hosni Mubarak has seen pretty much everyone resigning, even his own son and heir-apparent, Gamal (don’t be stupid enough to believe Hosni when he says he never intended for Gamal to take over, as the man is a liar of the worst order).  Hosni’s day is done.

We simply await the next chapter: democracy, a real one, or the Muslim Brotherhood and their fellow travelers?

Baby Doc’s return haunts Haiti

Haiti is truly the sick man of the Americas. There is no sadder country, not even Cuba, in the whole of this area. One of the worst monsters to ever rule the country, Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, has decided to return and make a case for leading the same country he ravaged decades before until his ouster in 1986. If they accept him, as Isabeau Doucet of the Guardian worries, they will have permanently sealed their doom.

Ask, Confront & Defend

The repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is a DISGRACE that cannot stand!

The Left hoped that by defining homosexuality as an orientation that cannot be changed, rather than a chosen behavior as has been recognized for millenia, they could exploit the goodwill of the civil rights struggle.  Civil rights, like feminism, is a positive philosophy when promulgated by persons of integrity with no hidden agendas.  However, those of us who were around in those times, or who study real history,  know there were many communists and America-haters therein marching with genuine people of good will.   It is not the conservatives with resume credits we hear from today, but Charlie Rangel and Jesse Jackson – those who exploit their past.  They are exploiters first, and not those persons of consistent character.

The last gasp of the progressives

Millions of homes being lost to foreclosure. The federal government having to borrow 40 cents of ever dollar it spends. An exploding federal debt. About a quarter of the population unemployed or underemployed. A failed public school system. Corrupt unions and an administration openly bribing elected officials with funds from the public treasury or paid positions in return for their votes. Massive illegal immigration. Forty-two million people on food stamps. Big government bailing out big business while the average citizen received no benefit. “To big to fail.” One in five Americans has an STD and popular culture is a sewer. Thus is the state of the United States today.

Moldova’s Thirty-Seven Inches of Democracy

Moldova went to the polls last Sunday. It was the third time in 19 months, namely because the Communist Party (if you can believe these people have control of anything in modern-day Europe!) have proven to be too incompetent for Moldovans to tolerate anymore. Though they maintained power, their seats in parliament continue to slip.

Let’s Take Notes, Shall We?

This clip is a Marine ripping into a Congressman. As I watch the crowd, as I hear the Marine’s voice and passion, and as my heart breaks with worry, yet beems with pride…I realize as I view more and more people who speak out that we are not alone.  http://www.libertyjuice.com/2010/08/27/marine-rips-into-congressman/

As for another voice…I know some don’t care for Glenn Beck. I ask, though, for everyone to dvr or watch him all this week. The facts, not just from what he says, but what can be researched, is eye opening and quite frankly, frightening unless we do something about what shall come. Economists state that food inflation shall sky rocket come 2011. I’m not sure how we can all form a liveable budget if milk is nearly $25 a gallon or some God forsaken thing.

I don’t want to speak for Beck’s research, for no matter what is said, there are those that think Glenn Beck is a lunatic simply attempting to promote his books and place fear within the “misguided”.  Research what is being said, to those skeptics out there, and to Beck’s trusting listeners.  He’s asked for every one of his viewers to reach out to the circles of friends, family, and even our strangers to watch what his team has investigated for this week.

I’m doing my part, if only a small role, to help wise us up and save our country.  I’ve never been one for conspiracy theories or wanting to believe that our precious, priviledged American way of life is on a last leg.

People…please. This progressive movement, of which I have been a sleeping giant to, is going to kill our finances, our securities, our way of life, and our entire American culture as we know it.  The Republicans in the house majority have a lot of work to do. Real work, real actions, real plans!  Republicans…don’t give us any lip service, or you will be blamed for all of the failures to come…that’s how the picture will be formed.

Hats off to this Marine. Hats off to people like Glenn Beck shouting a voice to be listened to.  Whether you view for entertainment or information, for God’s sakes, watch his show this week and let’s at least take some notes to learn from.

Article Roundup for October 20, 2010

Facebook is an evil idea. It destroys friendships. Oh, well… Off to the news:

Gunmen Storm Chechen Parliament by Lauren Frayer, AOL News.

Chechnya will never be quelled so long as a madman like Moscow’s hand-picked strongman, Ramzan Kadirov, is allowed to run roughshod over the citizenry, driving them to extremists who have more in common with Al Qaeda rather than the indigenous Sufi movements which are more prevalent in the region. Expect to see a lot more attacks like this one soon in Chechnya, possibly igniting a third war in the region in the past 20 years.

Schwarzenegger and Chapman Party On in Moscow by Kim Ziegfeld, La Russophobe.

A shameful idiot of a Governator goes to Moscow and looks like an industrial tycoon in comparison to the locals, who are salivating at making a pseudo-Silicon Valley near Moscow that will, most likely, simply turn into a place for either the Putin/Medvyedev axis or the Russian Mafia to shake down and scare off any investment. It gets worse as Anna Chapman, the “sexy spy,” (right…) who bumbled her way into fame gets hired by a bank for her “advice.” Pity poor Russia.

Russian Commander Appeals to Mufti to Help Restore Order in His Unit By Paul Goble, Window on Eurasia.

Russian racism is nothing new. Anyone who doesn’t look like a run-of-the-mill Slav, even if you are as pale as the Georgians are, gets called the local equivalent of a nigger (and you’d better believe they find it as offensive as an African-American would). Russian Muslims in general are being treated in a disgraceful and inhuman way in Perm, Siberia, and insurrections are beginning to happen against officers who treat conscripts harshly. More bad news for the Russian Bear, I’m afraid.
HT: La Russophobe.

Germany and the Failure of Multiculturalism by George Friedman, STRATFOR.

STRATFOR’s founder analyzes the death of multikulti in Germany. You may wish to read Thomas Sowell’s excellent take on the subject as well.

Khamenei in Qom Urges ‘Solidarity’ with Executive; Subsidy Moves Begin by the FRONTLINE: PBS Tehran Bureau Editorial Board.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is in a state of panic as he tries to mend rifts caused by supporting a sleazy election win by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Other ayatollahs, based in Qom, will have none of it.

Merkel: Multiculturalism is a failure

German Chancellor Angela Merkel finally, finally states the obvious: unchecked multiculturalism, where people are allowed in to your country when they don’t know the customs, culture or language of the inviting state, end up never assimilating. The usual fools on the radical left will cry “Nazi” in the same way Peter cried “Wolf,” but German citizens will have none of it. The time for cheap threats is done. What Europe needs to do is to develop a spine and start defending its culture from invaders. This is a pleasing development. Let’s see who goes out of their way to block it.

Constitutionality, Christianity, Progressivism And The Captive Poor

I wrote this in an email the other day and everyone told me to publish it, so here it is with very minimal editing.

We, the people, must recognize that our two major parties have been co-opted at their highest levels. They no longer prove themselves to support the Constitution. Instead they advance agendas that should deeply concern anyone who understands what our constitution says and why.

John Adams once said, “Our constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other kind” because the Constitution contained no controls over those who would reject morality and decency in favor of hedonism and self-indulgence. It also contains no controls, talis qualis, that are, or ever would be, strong enough to defeat progressivism which seeks to ignore it (or for that matter Sharia law which would supplant it). Only the vigilance of a stubborn and well-informed citizenry can do that!

Sex Education, Social Engineering, Progressive Politics And The Rainbow Agenda

I personally home schooled my daughter through 7th grade and my son through 6th. She is positioned to be the valedictorian of her school next year and hopes to go into law or medicine. As an 11th grader, she claims to be the ONLY virgin she knows of in her entire high school (of over 1000 students). Her 8th grade brother is an honor student taking both regular and advanced classes despite profound dyslexia. He, too, is proud to be a virgin. Referring to his classmates, he says “most of them” are sexually active. What difference did an abstinence-based (home schooling) curriculum make in their lives? I believe it made all the difference! By far the best place to give children a healthy understanding of the proper role of sex in their lives is in their own homes.

Helena Sex Ed Curriculum (barely) Revised…

Helena, MT (ConClub) – The Helena School District’s feeble attempts to quell widespread public opposition to teaching a gay activist/liberal/progressive sex-ed program beginning in kindergarten and including homosexuality from the outset, represent too little in the way of real, substantive change. Thus, they have categorically failed to impress what turned out to be a small army of local critics here. A well attended meeting hosted by Helena Youth Advocates (HYA), a grassroots organization comprised largely of concerned parents was held at the Public Library this evening. As well as vocal parents, it appeared to include opposition activists, politicians and even one teacher (who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons).

Police Brutality in Colorado – Enough is Enough

“Every day that I shave, I still have the memory of the night from the nerve damage in my face. Every time I put on socks, I still have the memory of that night because of the scars on my ankle. If the FBI, after their investigation, wants to file federal charges against them, then I think that would be absolutely justified and I don’t think it would be out of line.”

- Shawn Johnson, speaking about his permanent injuries after a beating by Denver police for using a women’s restroom in LoDo.

Just up the interstate from me is the Denver metro area. Unfortunately, for many years, we have experienced a constant stream of questionable shootings and police beatings (another here) with little being done about it by anyone in authority. With the increasing prevalence of video cameras and cell phones some of these are starting to get caught on tape. Here are just two of the most recent incidents that are now dominating the local news every night. What makes this all the more interesting is that the current Denver mayor is running for governor and has gone from covering these incidents up to now playing Pontius Pilate and washing his hands of the entire thing. No concept of leadership or taking responsibility but only now as the press and community are howling for blood has he reopened the case and turned it over to the FBI to make a determination if the first incident below was appropriate. The second and more recent incident is “under investigation” as well.

A Liberal bad day

It’s been a strange week. Not that any have been terribly normal since January 2009. First we had Howard Stern trashing Democrats:

To which Robert Gibbs suggested the “professional left” should be drug tested. Howard Stern on drugs? No way.

Also during this day of both Perseids AND a massive CME, Gibbs suggested those same “professional liberals” would only be happy with Dennis Kucinich. Am I supposed to think that’s merely a coincidence? I ain’t buying it.

And to top it all off, Charlie Rangel spent 37 minutes of Congress’s time belaboring everyone that he’s not a criminal, just stupid, and that some simple reprimand’s not a good enough charge, he wants expulsion. He then threw a party. This of course comes on the heels of Nancy Pelosi’s claiming that she had nothing to do with the ethics charges against Rangel or Waters. “Draining the swamp” only applies to conservatives obviously, duh.

Steven Slater then decided to pull the cord and use the chute.

OK, yes… this may be over-the-top…

…. but Mr. Mo and I are planning on being well out of the D.C. Metro area by 2011, for several reasons.

What really bothers me is that I’m not the paranoid type, but I see the path this country is going down and unless we seriously reverse it, we’re headed for this.

Selfishly, I’d like to think it happens well after 2017.

Don’t Stop Special Ops: Karzai Sides with Taliban–Again

Let us face facts. We have no ally in Afghanistan. We have a whore who will sell his rump to the highest bidder, and keep playing the game against both camps. One of the greatest tragedies Afghanistan ever faced happened on September 10, 2001, when Ahmad Shah Masood, an honorable ban who was sure to end up leading the country, was assassinated by Taliban posing as an interview crew. I would have rather seen Abdullah Abdullah win the last election cycle, but the Afghan people now get to taste the fruits, bitter and otherwise, of their decisions.

Ralph Peters lambastes the fool running Afghanistan in an article posted at Real Clear Politics.
