MEDIA FRETS OVER GOP CANDIDATES’ FAITH; OBAMA AND JEREMIAH WRIGHT? NOT SO MUCH

As is to be expected, the New York Times has its collective panties in a bunch over the religious beliefs of most of the GOP presidential candidates. Funny, I don’t remember the liberal media saying much about candidate Obama’s faith – other than defending him after the Jeremiah Wright controversy hit the fan.

These vanguards of secularism would have skewered any Republican candidate who had attended a church for 20 years – but claimed to know nothing of the hate speech that spewed from the pulpit on a regular basis; so it’s not surprising that they’re doing their level best to discredit conservative candidates they fear – by attacking their respective faiths. Of course, we should expect nothing “less” from the New York Times. (and every other left-wing news organization in the country.)

As I began to write this post, I Googled “right-wing politics” to see where the liberally-biased search engine would send me. In addition to suggesting that I search for “right-wing authoritarianism,” I was told that rightright-wing and rightist are terms used to describe support for preserving traditional social orders and hierarchies.

Who Is Rupert Murdoch & Who Controls the News?

Who Is Rupert Murdoch & Who Controls the News?.

Author Short Little Rebel has uncovered and fully documents a scandal that most Americans are completely unaware of- that a handful of powerful elite own all of America’s news outlets in what looks like a conspiracy cartel.  This cartel of news ownership has met with each & every Presidential candidate and can deny or grant news coverage as political leverage to swing events in their favor.  The most stunning revelation is how hundreds of millions of dollars of tax payer money was used to bail this cartel out and preserve it’s major ‘vehicle companies’.   Her article includes links to the stock market and charts which prove her thesis.  It is most alarming and Americans need to act now.

…”To summarize: these are the six private companies that own all the news: Fidelity Investments, The Vanguard Group, Capital Group Companies, Price (TROW) Group (though technically public, is actually private), and to a lesser extent Wellington Management Co. LLP and Dodge & Cox.”  Read More..

The Left Celebrates Gay Marriage in New York: Most of America? Not so Much

A RATHER TIMELY POST FROM A FELLOW-SCRIBE AT RED COUNTY

While liberals and their sock puppets in the media may be celebrating New York’s new gay marriage law, a clear majority of Americans are not. Don’t tell anyone though, we’re not supposed to know. It’s kinda like that whole separation of church and state thing: HUSH!

Since the mid-1980s, activist groups have engaged in a concerted effort to impose acceptance of homosexual behavior on the American people. The goal has been to overwhelm the American psyche with a seemingly ubiquitous cultural conversation about the subject and a precise, predetermined portrayal of those who engage in homosexual behavior as happy and carefree (a.k.a. “gay”) in movies and on television. Through these and other means, millions upon hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent to propagandize Americans and persuade us that homosexual behavior is normal and that opposition to it is antiquated and indicative of ignorance, rather than intelligence.

Michele Bachmann’s ‘Divine Visions and Paranoid Delusions’

ROLLING STONE: BACHMANN IS A BATSH*T CRAZY RELIGIOUS ZEALOT

Not that I’m an professional political analyst, or anything of the sort, but I have a hunch that Rolling Stone Magazine isn’t much of a Michele Bachmann fan. I’m just sayin’.

The magazine’s slanderous hit piece on Bachmann is a classic example of the depths to which the left-wing and its sock puppets in the media will stoop when threatened.

The hateful zealots at the Rolling Stone have observed Bachmann in action, and they’re not happy with what they’ve seen: an intelligent, articulate woman who has the audacity to stand for conservative values and against the “principles” of the left; Michele Bachmann is to women what Herman Cain is to blacks.

THE LEFT’S PATHETIC OBSESSION WITH SARAH PALIN IS HYSTERICAL

Pity the poor “mainstream” media – or the Obama Media Group, as I like to call it. First it was Sarah Palin’s bus tour, and her in-your-face refusal to afford the indignant liberal press the respect they demand of her – as if they deserve it, given the way they have skewered her and her family, including her Down Syndrome son, Trig.

The Obama Media Group’s latest attempt at “gotcha” with Palin has blown up in their sniveling little faces as well. They just can’t seem to win with the imbecile from Wasilla anymore, can they? What are they to do?

This kind of treatment by Sarah Palin is more than the arrogant media can bear. What a terrible meanie she has become. Read the rest of this entry

The Left’s Obsession with Fox News

FOX NEWS. Why are you liberals so obsessed with it? Let’s set aside the fact that the other 24-hour news channels have a liberal bias while Fox pundits lean to the right for a minute; I understand the politics. What I want to know is, why is Fox News the devil incarnate to you people while the other networks are just “opinionated?”

I watched a clip last night of an overly crazed liberal screaming “FOX LIES!” over and over at the top of his lungs. As is usually the case, when asked for an example, he had nothing. He wouldn’t even stop screaming long enough to give it a shot.

Here’s another question: Have any of you actually watched Fox News enough to have an informed opinion or are you just parroting what you hear from the likes of Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher? My experience with liberals suggests the latter. Lots of hemming and hawing when I ask for examples. Many of you tell me you watch Fox, but I have my doubts.

One more question: Why do you assume that conservatives are mindless programmed followers of Fox News? Most conservatives I know are pretty well-read people. We’re also exposed to your side of the issues on the evil network on a daily basis.

As much as you detest Bill O’Reilly, I challenge you to give me an example of one program on another network that provides the same amount balance of opinion and panelists as is the case on The Factor every night. You might also check out Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Once again, you’ll see a balanced debate on the issues. No name calling, condescension or character assassination. You might actually find that refreshing for a change.

While I eagerly await your responses, here’s my assessment of your obsession. It boils down to two things: Organizations like MSNBC and Media Matters do what they do for ratings and website traffic. (Check out Media Matters here for wall-to-wall Fox bashing, it’s hysterical.) I know what you’re thinking; your pundits on MSNBC are lucky if they get 20% of the audience The Factor enjoys, so how could ratings have anything to do with it? Simple: while you guys watch your pals in much smaller numbers than we do, you are a rabidly loyal, predictable audience. Liberals love preaching to the choir.

The second reason is just as obvious. As is usually the case with the left, it’s much easier to attack those who disagree with your ideology than it is to have a level-headed, substantive debate on the issues. After all, liberalism is in large part defined by emotionalism. There is also a degree of hypocritical condescension among your elites. If we don’t agree with you, we’re stupid. So be it.

While your attacks on all things Fox are predictable and do get a bit boring from time to time, I urge you to keep it coming. It makes for great blogging content, as well as a good laugh here and there.

News Corp. Profit More Than Doubles on Converts From Liberalism

This should make the Left scratch their heads… Nah…  It won’t, but isn’t it funny how a company that has been so tightly bound to the U.S. “right”, labeled down-right insane, could have these results?  Should we even begin to believe that there is more common sense out there than previously thought?  CNN’s ratings are in the toilet and their personalities are going to FOX.  Who IS right, here, after all?!!

Mark Levin takes on the haters

People are talking a lot right now that the vitriol needs to be leveled down a lot.  Problem is there are too many people that thrive on it.  To me journalism hit the current low when Keith Olbermann went on MSNBC.  I think he’s the worst editorialist in the world.  The reason, well, just look:

His stuff is only partisan, is only personal, and is only inflammatory.  When faced with a situation where he has no facts to support his argument, he resorts to mocking and trivializing the object of his scorn.  At the very best he sounds immature.  At the worst, not someone you want your kids around.  He’s thrived on MSNBC even though I think most of his content borders on slander.  Let’s look at slander a little closer, shall we?

Playing the blame game with the Arizona shootings

I’ll be very honest. Conservatives have a low regard for liberals because of the types of comments as we have seen over the last 24 hours in regards to the tragedy in Arizona. This was a tragedy totally outside the realm of cheap political potshots. When the gutter-licking Left tries to turn tragedies like this into some sort of anti-Palin, anti-Fox News, anti-Limbaugh and Beck, or anti-Tea Party (or whatever) political statement we should all be extremely disgusted at such pathetic attempts to smear an opponent with the blood of real people and real victims. And frankly, shame on all those who are acting this way today. Disgusting, uncalled for, a devious and obvious lie, and very disrespectful for the victims that were injured or killed yesterday. I was saddened to see such references already floating around today. Shame on the Left for engaging in such behavior.

Bully Pulpit

Like Sarah Palin, who sends liberals into conniption fits, Chris Christie, New Jersey’s larger-than-many governor, has earned the unwarranted blathering of a few party hacks calling his frank discussing technique as “hate speech.”

I actually find it amusing that Christie will force someone to defend their positions in front of him, and in public.  The low-level roaches who infest New Jersey’s political class are being exposed to daylight, and they don’t like it one bit.

The Palin Follies

It looks like people want to see more about Sarah Palin’s personal life. Unfortunately the scandal du jour involves her daughters being baited into an inflammatory Facebook dialogue in which they act like…teens! TMZ is trying to characterize this as homophobia. If you visit their site beware that it tries to take over your browser (go there now). The facebook dialogue sounds so much like a couple of girls from up here in the Rockies that I can barely detect anything but typical teenageness (yep, I made that word up–feel free to use it!).

No, America, Bristol and Willow are not ready to be media consultants. They are ready to go to school. Sadly the kids of a politician are always enrolled in the school of hard knocks when their parent submits a candidate filing.

Moveon gets stomped on

A lot has been made of the video where a woman gets her head stomped on at a Rand Paul/Jack Conway debate.

A lot.  Before rushing to judgment, and before making incendiary comments in my presence, take into consideration some facts first.

Her original story was she was simply handing Rand Paul an employee of the month award for a fictional company moveon.org made up.  What is that supposed to mean to Rand Paul?  Then, it was she was simply wanting to hold a sign.  In all her versions, she’s just innocently standing there and gets jumped.  That’s Keith Olbermann’s take too.  Here’s the same incident from a different angle:

And here’s a slightly different angle too:

So, ya gotta ask yourself, if you could care less about knowing the truth, what a woman from Massachusetts, who works for a group that funds the opposing party against Rand Paul, was doing standing in the middle of a Rand Paul crowd and attacking his car?  I mean, last I recall, people in Massachusetts aren’t allowed to vote for Kentucky candidates.  So, this paid political activist wearing a wig and a hoodie then attacks Paul’s car and is taken down by two guys, one of whom restrains her with her foot.

She was wanting to create a scene.  And she did.  And Keith Olbermann was more than ready to feed it to the masses.  She’ll now go back to Massachusetts and plot her next political ploy I’m sure.

Doubt me still?  After the event Ilyse Hogue informs the media that Valle was in the hospital receiving treatment and wasn’t sure when she would be able to talk to the media.  At the same time, Valle is still at the event smiling and giving interviews for the media.  Why should anyone care?  Ilyse Hogue is moveon.org’s political director.  She’s lying too.  She’s not from Kentucky either.

All you peeps who immediately condemned the Rand Paul peeps have been lied to and taken for a ride.  You have been fooled.  That’s what moveon.org does.  This ain’t Greenpeace or some environmental activist group, this is Moveon.org., a purely political entity that supports Democrats any way they see fit and have been primarily funded by George Soros, a Hungarian who made his money in Russia and nearly destroyed the British economy.

That’s a whole lot of people that have nothing to do with Kentucky that are making an awful big scene trying to affect who we in Kentucky elect.  That’s just not right either.

The rebel in me wants to say that when pushy people come down from the North to try and tell us what to do, they might get their heads stomped on.  But, God knows that is so horribly politically incorrect so I probably shouldn’t say it that way.

But……

I hilite the “yea””s for a reason. Wannna guess what it is? OK, I’ll give one clue. Democrats passed this thing 51-12. Without one single Republican needing to vote, they passed it. The military didn’t like it, the gay community didn’t like it, no one liked it. The Democrat controlled House, the Democrat controlled Senate, and the Democrat President rammed it through anyway. According to Clinton, it wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. Media pretty much ignored “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” for a while until it became expedient. Over time, it became purely a Republican issue as the Republicans did exactly as the Democrats did years before and effectively ignored it. The media bias culminated itself this year when Lady Gaga chastised Republicans for talking about filibustering the bill that would eliminate Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell:
http://abcnews.go.com/assets/player/walt2.6/flash/SFP_Walt.swf

“I will not stop calling until I reach them to tell them to vote with Sen. Harry Reid to end John McCain’s ‘shameless filibuster,’” she said.

She then calls two Democrats who refuse to take her call. There was no filibuster, Harry Reid never sent it to the floor. The gays returned to attacking the hell out of Republicans only even though the Democrats once again had all the votes they needed to pass the legislation to end it. All the while, no one was mentioning the fact that a lawsuit was working it’s way through the legal system to undo what Bill Clinton and the Democrats did in 1993. It wasn’t filed by Lady Gaga. It wasn’t filed by any Democrat. It was filed by the Log Cabin Republicans. And then a weird thing happened. They won. Republicans, who controlled nothing in DC, did what Harry Reid refused to do. They ended “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”. The Obama administration thought about it for a couple of days. And, knowing how the gays felt about DADT, had this to offer:

WASHINGTON — After two days of silence, the Obama administration urged a federal judge on Thursday to let the military press on with its “don’t ask, don’t tell” ban on gays serving openly in the military. Still, President Barack Obama insisted the policy that has divided the nation for two decades “will end on my watch.”

The Pentagon said the military “will of course obey the law” and halt enforcement while the case is still in question. But gay rights advocates cautioned gay service members to avoid revealing their sexuality in the meantime.

A federal judge abruptly threw out the Clinton-era ban on Tuesday, setting in motion a legal, political and human-rights back-and-forth that put the administration on the spot just two weeks before crucial midterm elections. Obama has consistently argued against the ban, approved by Congress in 1993. But he says it is up to Congress to repeal it.

The policy, summed up as “don’t ask, don’t tell,” refers to guidance that gay or lesbian Americans can serve in the military but not openly. Their superiors are forbidden to ask about sexual orientation, but service members can be thrown out or denied enlistment if they talk about being gay or let it be known that they engage in homosexual acts.

Obama’s Justice Department asked U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips to stay her ruling that overturned the ban while the government prepares a formal appeal. Asking the judge for a response by Monday – “given the urgency and gravity of the issues” – the government said that suddenly ending the ban would be disruptive and “irreparably harm the public interest in a strong and effective military.”

Obama, challenged Thursday at a town hall meeting by a Howard University faculty member who questioned his “alleged commitment to equality for all Americans, gay and straight,” said his stance has not wavered. He can’t end the ban with the stroke of a pen, he said, but “we’re going to end this policy.”

You read that right. The Obama Administration is asking for a delay in the ruling so the Obama Administration can prepare an appeal to the ruling. They wanna fight it. So, even though the Democrats wrote DADT, passed DADT, have ruled over DADT for nine of the seventeen years it’s been existance, refused to vote to end DADT, and now are fighting legally to keep DADT, I bet you good money there won’t be a single liberal gay person come out and point their finger where the problem is, has been, and continues to be. If they do, I’d love to see their comments here. The reason DADT has survived all these years considering no one seems to like it is because the Democrats know they won’t be held accountable for it so no need to antagonize their moderate to conservative base, and the Republicans know that no matter what they do they won’t get any credit so they have no reason to antagonize their base either. When media and gays become less partisan and more objective then maybe they’ll get what they want.

Until then, they’ll have to keep relying on the Republicans. It’s a core issue with Republicans in a way most people don’t really think about. In expecting the government to protect a minority, the government has to do it in a way that is equitable to all people affected by the minority. Sometimes that doesn’t necessarily work to the minority’s advantage. By NOT recognizing the minority as a minority, it removes the issue of being a minority and allows the issues that affect that minority to be addressed. There is no reason to protect gays in the military. They are already protected by our Constitution. What needs to be protected are the rights gays have as US citizens. When that occurs, gays will have all the same rights as anyone else in the military and I am quite sure that would make everyone happy. Repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell therefore is kind of moot to me. What needs to happen is all references to discriminating on the basis of sexual preferance need to be eliminated. I really don’t buy the argument that it would be disruptive to the military at all. Obama may want you to believe that, but I don’t.

Cyberwar: Round 1 Goes To The West…

Gregg Keizer and Richi Jennings writing over at Computerworld have noted the negative impact on Iran’s nuclear program of a raging Stuxnet infection. (Perhaps Helena, MT’s progressive superintendent needs to move to Iran where they’re more tolerant of unpopular mandated lessons–but about computer security–not teaching little kids about sex!)

More than a decade ago think tankers began seriously considering cyberwar. (see the Wikipedia entry here.) Sci-fi authors have been bantering about it since the 60s and probably even earlier. One might even go so far as to argue that Orwell’s Big Brother is more akin to the ubiquitous, massively parallel information-based societies of America, Japan, S. Korea, Germany, France, Canada, Great Britain, and many others, including tiny Israel, than to any group of secret human spies. When I was building an Army website in 2005 I suggested the need for a DoD branch dedicated to information security (beyond the charter of the NSA). The Pentagon finally created Cyber Command this May.

Breitbart Forces Obama’s Protesters To Fold Up Shop

Andrew Breitbart has brass ones to go out and confront that crowd alone. He’s a godsend and a true patriot.

On Saturday, September 18th, Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart headlined an event entitled “Right Nation 2010,” held just outside of Chicago, Illinois.

As you will see in our video report from the scene, when Andrew Breitbart arrived at the Sears Centre, he was met with an angry mob of protesters who were calling for an ‘end to hate’ while also hurling expletives and homophobic slurs toward the targets of their enmity.

In the following dramatic video, Breitbart brings the protest to a complete halt by cleverly asking sign holders to do the impossible: explain the placards they were carrying. In the end, the frustrated organizers abruptly end their protest and leave.

Read the whole thing, and watch all the videos.

…Is anyone else beginning to see a pattern developing here?

It’s getting more and more obvious every single day.

Constitutionality, Christianity, Progressivism And The Captive Poor

I wrote this in an email the other day and everyone told me to publish it, so here it is with very minimal editing.

We, the people, must recognize that our two major parties have been co-opted at their highest levels. They no longer prove themselves to support the Constitution. Instead they advance agendas that should deeply concern anyone who understands what our constitution says and why.

John Adams once said, “Our constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other kind” because the Constitution contained no controls over those who would reject morality and decency in favor of hedonism and self-indulgence. It also contains no controls, talis qualis, that are, or ever would be, strong enough to defeat progressivism which seeks to ignore it (or for that matter Sharia law which would supplant it). Only the vigilance of a stubborn and well-informed citizenry can do that!

Sex Education, Social Engineering, Progressive Politics And The Rainbow Agenda

I personally home schooled my daughter through 7th grade and my son through 6th. She is positioned to be the valedictorian of her school next year and hopes to go into law or medicine. As an 11th grader, she claims to be the ONLY virgin she knows of in her entire high school (of over 1000 students). Her 8th grade brother is an honor student taking both regular and advanced classes despite profound dyslexia. He, too, is proud to be a virgin. Referring to his classmates, he says “most of them” are sexually active. What difference did an abstinence-based (home schooling) curriculum make in their lives? I believe it made all the difference! By far the best place to give children a healthy understanding of the proper role of sex in their lives is in their own homes.

Helena Sex Ed Curriculum (barely) Revised…

Helena, MT (ConClub) – The Helena School District’s feeble attempts to quell widespread public opposition to teaching a gay activist/liberal/progressive sex-ed program beginning in kindergarten and including homosexuality from the outset, represent too little in the way of real, substantive change. Thus, they have categorically failed to impress what turned out to be a small army of local critics here. A well attended meeting hosted by Helena Youth Advocates (HYA), a grassroots organization comprised largely of concerned parents was held at the Public Library this evening. As well as vocal parents, it appeared to include opposition activists, politicians and even one teacher (who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons).

Free Speech, Hate Crimes, Bold Truth and Cunning Lies

WARNING AND DISCLAIMER: This post may make some people angry. The thoughts and comments expressed are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the consensus opinion at ConstitutionClub.org.

Today USA Today ran, “Is burning Quran a hate crime or a free speech issue?” When Terry Jones’s church decided to burn the Koran, I believe they felt moved to express a bold truth. On the other hand, by “protecting” the Judeo-Christian Bible (even as it denounces, denies and contradicts it), Islam institutionally propagates the craftiest of deceptions. In Eden, the serpent, being more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made, said, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Did he actually lie? No, he manipulated and deceived Adam and Eve into believing a tiny falsehood about God: That God was withholding his best from them. The Enemy planted and cultivated a subtle fear, feeding the tiniest bit of pride by asking an inflammatory question.

Going further, the successful deceiver next indoctrinates the deceived using a succession of increasingly outlandish lies. This was perhaps best noted by Adolph Hitler who said, “By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.” This progression leads to the downfall of nations, cultures and societies. It tends to accelerate most under powerfully charismatic people appealing to our selfish natures. This may be physical gratification, our personal rights, greed, justice, and self-righteousness. It decelerates under successful messages encouraging self-sacrifice and unconditional love.

A matter of trust – CNN

This screen grab of CNN covering Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally pretty much sums up the state of “professional” reporting these days.

Wanna count the errors?

  1. Happening Now is obviously not Sara Palin.
  2. It’s Sarah Palin, not Sara Palin.
  3. Sarah Palin was never a Presidential candidate, she was, of course, a Vice-Presidential candidate.

With so very little concern about getting the very obvious correct, ever wonder how much CNN gets right?

Mo’s Quote of the Day

Well, here’s a quote I read just last night, and it perfectly states why a patriot like me who loves his country and wants to do good cannot run for office and win in modern America:

The media’s interest on candidate’s private lives has already had at least one bad effect on society. A powerful alliance of the media and left-wing feminists and the religious right has ensured that fewer quality people will run for political office. Few great individuals are willing to have their lives dissected in ways that virtually guarantee undeserved personal and family suffering. A person’s desire for political office has to overwhelm a desire to protect one’s own and one’s family’s privacy, and such an individual is precisely not the type of person we want most to lead us.

~Dennis Prager, “Think A Second Time” p.1995

We’ve evolved a system that ensures the worst possible people–those who are smart, clever, devious, dishonest, and hungry for power will always rise to the top levels of government. That’s what’s got to change, or we’ve got to get used to being their slaves. Or at least their ATMs.

WikiLeaks must be stopped

Yet another impassioned plea to knock out WikiLeaks, this time by Mark Theissen of the Washington Post.

Sarah Netter just doesn’t see irony very well

Sarah Netter, writing for ABC, sought insight for how the yet-to-be-enforced law in Arizona is causing racist attacks in Staten Island, New York.  So, she asked the president of National Council of La Raza. La Raza isn’t exactly a group advocating for the average white guy.  She pointed out how a Latino guy got beat up in New York.  She quoted another guy who pointed out there has been a spike in violence against Latinos in the last few years.  It’s just horrible.

The part she left out was the 25,000 Hispanic murders just across the border from Arizona that have nothing to do with the United States, racism, or SB 1070.  Maybe, and this is just a hypothetical, a lot of the violence in Staten Island could be the result of lifestyle choices and not the color of their skin.  Maybe, and this is just another hypothetical, the violence in Staten Island is completely and totally unrelated to the yet-to-be-enforced law in Arizona since, and I know this sounds crazy, THE LAW HAS NEVER BEEN ENFORCED.  Maybe, and this is the biggest leap I know, Sarah Netter had a conclusion she wanted to write about and had a very hard time finding anything to support it?

The only question I have about Sarah Netter’s article is did she come to her own conclusion first or did ABC tell her what her conclusion was before she wrote this to give the NAACP an assist on their equally vapid racist Tea Party statement?

I Am America (and Stephen Colbert’s Not)

Great Video by Krista Branch. I highly recommend it.

Byrd and Thurmond, only Adam Clymer can tell them apart

Strom Thurmond, Foe of Integration, Dies at 100

And:

Robert C. Byrd, a Pillar of the Senate, Dies at 92

Both opposed civil rights initially. Both converted to support civil rights. One was an outspoken member of the Ku Klux Klan. One was not. Wanna guess which was which?

Oh, and one died a Democrat, the other not.

Both obits were written by Adam Clymer for The New York Times. Guess we know where his priorities are. Objective news not being too high on his list apparently.
