MEXICO CLAIMS ITS ‘SOLDIERS GOT LOST’
A convoy of three Mexican military trucks loaded with soldiers and weapons entered the United States illegally yesterday, Mr. Obama; where is your moat? Or, as you said in Texas, is this just another example of Republicans overreacting to illegal immigration?
Customs and Border Protection investigators told KGNS-TV they spoke with Mexican authorities after being alerted that the military convoy was heading in their direction.
Those same Mexican officials say the soldiers ”didn’t know the area and got lost” and that “an investigation into the ‘incident’ is continuing.” Uh huh. Just like the beheading in Phoenix, right? Is an “investigation” into that “incident” continuing too?” Or how about the “incident” of the murder of unarmed ICE agents in Mexico? Where are we on the investigation of that “incident”?
Based on the preponderance of “incidents” going on here, Mr. President, perhaps that moat full of alligators idea isn’t so bad after all. Although – come to think of it – maybe the drug lords and the Mexican government can police the border just fine. Never Mind.

Why did it take Barrack Obama
NINE DAYS to finally speak out on Gadhafi’s atrocities in Libya? His press secretary told us yesterday that it was partially due to a ”scheduling issue.” Really?
The job of “being president” is very busy you know. So much so, that Obama barely had time to squeeze in coaching his daughter’s basketball team over the weekend while Libyan protesters were being murdered in the streets.
Sure, the president finally got around to deploring the killing of innocent civilians and reading most of the obligatory comments from his teleprompter, but the leader of the free world did manage to omit one “small point”:

The Rat noticed that Chris Matthews of all people got after the president pretty good last night; even to the point of agreeing with Bill Kristol. Matthews went so far as to mention that Ronald Reagan would’ve handled Libya differently. Strange times we live in these days.

That was the statement released by Iowa homeschooler Joel Northrup after giving up his chance for the state title by refusing to wrestle a girl and forfeiting the match. I guess I kind of have to agree with him personally. If I were put in his place I’d be like “are you fricking kidding me?” Now I’m all for wrestling around with girls but generally speaking not in this particular manner. And grabbing some girls crotch and other sensitive areas on a mat surrounded by hundreds of cheering people may be your idea of a good time but would make me feel a bit uncomfortable.
And can you imagine the poor idiot whose life would be forever ruined if he were to in fact really lose to a girl wrestler? Whoever came up with this idea must really hate high school males with psychopathic passion. Some may choose to disagree with me but the endless attempts to erase the differences between genders does grow tiresome. I’d be just as disgusted at any attempts to let a male join an all female volleyball league or pom pom squad. I’m just sayin’.

I’m assuming that poor Pakistan, which has been neglected in the world news cycle as of late, has decided it needs to do something to remain relevant and newsworthy. There is a deep-seated hatred of America and much sympathy with the Taliban and its allies in Al Qaeda. A security officer, Raymond Davis, is the current hatred <em>du jour</em>, having killed two men who had tried, unsuccessfully, to rob him. The terrorist group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are demanding that Davis be executed. If the Obama Administration decides not to protect their man in Islamabad, it is my hope that Pakistan be incinerated by a more pro-American regime than the one we’re currently stuck with.
This is what happens when the cult of “tolerance, diversity, sensitivity, and multiculturalism” begins to capture the military related institutions of this country. They’ve already captured the colleges, entertainment, and the media, and the rest of our societal and cultural institutions are under full-scale assault. We all sneer at political correctness and the ‘isms’ of the Left that accompany it but it is deadly serious struggle we are engaged in. It is gut-wrenching to watch a culture and a people begin to slit their own throats and surrender on all fronts. As conservatives we see these attacks on common sense, our heritage, and our culture coming. We warn against it, rail against it, and predict the eventual outcome of it, but for whatever reason we seem to be helpless to prevent these things from happening. In this never-ending culture war, that the Left has declared and the Right is forced to fight, conservatives are always losing unless they win and liberals are always winning unless they lose. We have traveled that far down a dangerous path that eventually only leads to damnation and ruin.
Progressivism is the most insidious of fifth columns that undermines the traditions and institutions that once made this country great. It is really an amazing thing to watch as one by one the dominoes are toppled as the Left continues to wage its ruthless ideological war on all that is true, right, decent, moral, and rooted in tradition, religion, and Western culture.
VMI Celebrates Muslim Invasion, Brutal 781-year Occupation of Spain

Next month his beloved Virginia Military Institute will be convening a celebration commemorating the 1300th anniversary of the invasion and occupation of Spain under the Muslim warlord Tariq ibn Ziyad in 711 A.D. The March 23-25 celebration entitled “711-2011: East Meets West” and organized by VMI’s Center for Leadership and Ethics, is scheduled to feature standard Muslim apologists Reza Aslan and Akbar Ahmed. VMI Superintendent Gen. J.H. Binford Peay has even filmed an invitation to the celebration.
No word if VMI’s World War II commemoration will be entitled “Germany meets Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Belgium, France, Norway, The Netherlands and Russia”.

I’ll be very honest. Conservatives have a low regard for liberals because of the types of comments as we have seen over the last 24 hours in regards to the tragedy in Arizona. This was a tragedy totally outside the realm of cheap political potshots. When the gutter-licking Left tries to turn tragedies like this into some sort of anti-Palin, anti-Fox News, anti-Limbaugh and Beck, or anti-Tea Party (or whatever) political statement we should all be extremely disgusted at such pathetic attempts to smear an opponent with the blood of real people and real victims. And frankly, shame on all those who are acting this way today. Disgusting, uncalled for, a devious and obvious lie, and very disrespectful for the victims that were injured or killed yesterday. I was saddened to see such references already floating around today. Shame on the Left for engaging in such behavior.

As the Wikileaks saga continues to unfold I can’t help but recall the scene in the film Sneakers where Martin “Marty” Bishop (Robert Redford) and Cosmo (Ben Kingsley) discuss the “code breaker.”
This is what a serf looks like and how a cowed subject is treated. Not how a free and sovereign citizen should be dealt with. Shame on the idiots that continue to allow these daily outrages and pathetic dog and pony shows to continue. I sure feel safer, don’t you? This is the difference between looking for a terrorist and looking for ‘objects’ while completely throwing any sense of decency and logic out the window.

Since the new TSA touchy-feely rules are now in effect and the blog topic of the week I thought I’d share a riveting and revealing story that is quickly going viral. This gentleman’s blog post on his fun at the airport has received over 5,000 comments and his calm but brave stand against fairly invasive airport security procedures has made him a Robin Hood for a great many Americans who are just fed up with it all. Pay special attention to the multitude of threats he received and the statements about him ‘giving up his rights’ that pepper the account. Kind of makes you wonder what they would do if entire flights just refused to participate in technological strip-searches and government groping exercises.

In late May of 2010, public school children in Wellesley, Massachusetts, took a field trip to the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center – a radical Saudi-funded mega-mosque run by the Muslim American Society of Boston. There, the boys were separated from the girls. And the boys were asked to join the Muslim adults in their prayer, which some of them did.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski mounting write-in bid for Senate
U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski says she’ll mount a write-in campaign in Alaska in an effort to hold onto her seat after last month’s stunning Republican primary loss to Joe Miller. Murkowski made her announcement Friday evening at a rally in Anchorage while surrounded by supporters chanting: “Run, Lisa, Run!”
This falls under the category of “are you kidding me?”. Followed by “are you serious?” and, cue the sarcasm, “good luck with that.” People don’t know how to be good losers anymore and I guess the days of crossing over the aisle to shake your opponents hand after they beat you fair and square has gone the way of opening the door for ladies and the Roman Empire. Every shrill voice who has screeched about how O’Donnell endangers the GOP takeover of the Senate should now be equally shrill about how Murkowski now endangers that same goal. But they won’t, because it is a one way street to attack those who dare to not hurrah abortion, cheerlead the homosexual agenda, or otherwise imprudent enough to mention the word “constitutional.”
I can tell you one thing. This is not going to be your usual boring mid-term election. There is a surprise every day and it gets weirder all the time.
Helena, MT (ConClub) – The Helena School District’s feeble attempts to quell widespread public opposition to teaching a gay activist/liberal/progressive sex-ed program beginning in kindergarten and including homosexuality from the outset, represent too little in the way of real, substantive change. Thus, they have categorically failed to impress what turned out to be a small army of local critics here. A well attended meeting hosted by Helena Youth Advocates (HYA), a grassroots organization comprised largely of concerned parents was held at the Public Library this evening. As well as vocal parents, it appeared to include opposition activists, politicians and even one teacher (who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons).

Just up the interstate from me is the Denver metro area. Unfortunately, for many years, we have experienced a constant stream of questionable shootings and police beatings (another here) with little being done about it by anyone in authority. With the increasing prevalence of video cameras and cell phones some of these are starting to get caught on tape. Here are just two of the most recent incidents that are now dominating the local news every night. What makes this all the more interesting is that the current Denver mayor is running for governor and has gone from covering these incidents up to now playing Pontius Pilate and washing his hands of the entire thing. No concept of leadership or taking responsibility but only now as the press and community are howling for blood has he reopened the case and turned it over to the FBI to make a determination if the first incident below was appropriate. The second and more recent incident is “under investigation” as well.

Illinois professor fired for giving Catholic teaching on homosexuality
The University of Illinois has fired an adjunct professor for teaching in a class on Catholicism that homosexual acts violate natural moral law.
Dr. Kenneth Howell was informed that he could no longer teach in the university’s department of religion. The decision came after a student complained that Howell’s statements were “hate speech.”
They fired a Catholic for teaching Catholic beliefs in a Catholic class? Political correctness saps the common sense right out of society and culture. It is not hate speech to proclaim the Biblical and Christian stand that homosexuality is wrong and an abomination. A sin against both God and nature. You may disagree with that stand, but that is no more hateful than saying sleeping with the girl at work is wrong, or stealing that bike out of the neighbor’s garage is wrong, or disrespecting your parents is wrong. The Truth is no respecter of persons and is not bound by your cultural whims or the fact that you start to squirm when sin is called sin. Moral depravity has become the taboo subject in a society which is now governed by the short-sighted moral guidance of “do what thou wilt. Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we may die.”

Though he took a lot of flak for his position, it looks like Michael Yon’s criticism of General Stanley McChrystal may have been warranted after all. Our friends at Canada Free Press have been kind enough to expose the active plan by the white house and Democratic lawmakers to put members of pro-life and TEA party groups on a “watch list” and preparations to use the Patriot Act against them. Lumping the activist conservative right in with Islamic terrorists and fueling the always present conspiracy theories and level of paranoia with secret watch lists is ridiculous in the extreme. It will only serve to reinforce the fears that we indeed do have a far too large and authoritarian government that is completely out of control. These are amazing times we live in.

Anywhere from 25,000 to 50,000 people showed up for a final ‘kill the bill’ rally today as we stand on the brink of seeing one of the most blatantly intrusive and unconstitutional bills in the history of the Republic pass the House of Representatives. Tonight, many are in front of the Capitol building holding an all night vigil. Chances are the vote will pass so the next step to ponder is what the reaction needs to be. Multiple state attorney generals have lawsuits in place and ready to file as soon as it becomes law. Many states are readying to pass laws that would make it illegal for any entity to require its citizens to purchase health insurance. Others have notified the federal government that they will not cooperate or implement such a scheme if it becomes law. I hope we see massive civil disobedience and non-compliance by businesses and individuals of all kinds. And, of course, every single person who votes for this bill needs to pay with the loss of their congressional seat this fall.

White House advisers are considering recommending alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed be tried in a military court instead of a civilian one in New York City, a senior administration official told CNN on Friday.
Progressive activists blasted the potential administration switch.
“If this stunning reversal comes to pass, President Obama will deal a death blow to his own Justice Department, not to mention American values,” said Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union.
“If the president flip-flops and retreats to the Bush military commissions, he will betray his campaign promise to restore the rule of law, demonstrate that his principles are up for grabs and lose all credibility with Americans who care about justice and the rule of law.”
I have always heard that history repeats itself because no one listened the first time around, and today I have found additional evidence to support that claim. Scroll through some of the Time magazine covers, specifically from 1976-1980 and take a look at the headlines, the people, the concerns of the day. From socialism to the war on terror – it’s all there in vivid color. I recommend starting here and moving forward for a really interesting look at, well… Time.
The first Era of Transparency post was penned by the Scribe last July. In it, Damien documented the fact that the Obama administration isn’t really giving us two choices regarding Cap and Trade and health care. He is pulling out the best of alternative scenarios and saying that Americans can have it all!

Part of me says that a Republican offensive is just what the doctor ordered in response to Harry Reid’s goofy comments regarding then candidate Obama. That part of me wants to get back at the Dems for the scores of times that anyone with conservative credentials has been made to feel bad or resign from whatever post they held over remarks that were not cleared by the sensitivity police at various universities.
And then there is part of me that wonders when and if we will ever get over the nonsensical tit-for-tat in racial politics. Needless to say, if Reid were speaking of a candidate from a southern state and said that “he did not have a redneck dialect, unless he wanted to have one” this wouldn’t even be an issue. And isn’t that really the way it should be?
If everytime someone makes heretical statements regarding race, should they be forced to give up a little something in order to atone for that sin? And shouldn’t the Republicans want a very unpopular and vulnerable senator to continue holding his post as majority leader heading into an election cycle? Both he and Pelosi are very good faces to attach to the utter incompetence of the “most ethical Congress in history.”
Which part of me is correct?
To the regulars at conclub please forgive the ridiculous title but it was done for a reason. To those of you who googled that and landed here I beg you to discontinue your search. No one yet know if Major Nidal Malik Hasan created some sort of Virginia Tech shooter style youtube video or rambling manifesto prior to murdering 12 American soldiers but if such a thing exists I ask you to ignore it.
Stop googling it, and please ask your freinds to do so as well. Website hits for such a thing only lend him credibility and give the next lunatic motivation. I appreciate that in times of tragedy we try to make sense of a senseless act but I assure you that you will not find answers in the ramblings of a homicidal maniac. It is an unfortunate reality that evil does truly exist in this world and man was not meant to understand why.
If indeed this man committed this heinous act in order to deliver some sort of message let the message fall on deaf ears. We live in a country where free speech is cherised and there are countless ways in the information age to peacefully deliver a message to the masses. Don’t give a voice to those who chose to deliver their message through murder.

Roman Polanski – Explaining how raping a 13 year old girl after plying her with alcohol and drugs was not intentional. Sure Roman. What is more outrageous is this B.S. here regarding Polanski’s detention in Switzerland…

Mitterrand said French President Nicholas Sarkozy is paying close attention to the case and that the French consulate may try to visit with Polanski today if allowed.
“I’m offering my support to Polanski as a French citizen and as the minister for culture. Justice has been denied to him many times in his life, and beauty is something that he has brought though his films,” he said, calling Polanski a “wonderful man” and “one of the greatest directors of all time.If the world of culture does not offer its support to Polanski, then that would mean there is no more culture in this country.”
