Not only is the GOP torpedoing their ship that’s supposed to come in this year, they are steering it directly into the Obama Port of Second Call.  Is this how we shore up the Conservative base or win the Moderates and Independents?  This intense implosion within the Republican party gives fodder to the Obama campaign — a gift in video sound bites.

Obama clearly cannot run on his record.  One of the few arrows he does have is to vilify the ultimate GOP candidate — but alas the Republicans are doing a bang up job of handing him the full quiver.  If Newt is the candidate, Obama runs excerpts of Romney’s campaign against Newt.  Ditto if Romney wins.  Read the rest of this entry

Obama Returns to His Roots

“It’s not my fault! It’s not our fault! It’s, it’s, it’s the Tea Party’s fault!”

By Thom Paine – the Independent Realist

Thus is the manta now chanted by the likes of Barack Obama, John Kerry, David Axelrod, Howard “EEEEAaaaahhhhhh!” Dean, and others in that contingent of mindless denizens on Capitol Hill. One can almost see them wearing their colorful flowing robes whilst dancing in a circle chanting, “Not our fault, no, not our fault; not our fault, no, not our fault.” As comical as they are, however, it is to be expected from small children and others who naively live in a fantasy world of their own design, and not just ignore the truth of things, but are incapable of comprehending it as well.

From Teflon President to Jell-o President

Back in the day, they said criticism didn’t stick to President  Ronald Reagan—hence, the moniker “Teflon President.”   Little did they know a certain Barack Hussein Obama would earn that title in spades.

But today, Mr. Obama has earned the designation of “Jell-o President.”  House Speaker John Boehner says our Teleprompter In Chief acts more like the “unrefrigerated” kind—all runny and drippy (and icky).   You know, I never liked Jell-o.  But Teflon?  Still one of the best things since sliced bread.

"No Excuse, Sir!"

Fast -n- Furious- That’s How Eric Holder’s (and Obama’s) Head Should Roll.

A lifetime ago, I was a cadet at West Point. Part of a cadet’s career included being called a ‘plebe’ for the entire freshman year. During this year, among other various forms of torture, we were only allowed to answer an upperclassman with three responses to any question: “Yes, sir!”, “No, sir!” and the best one of all, “No excuse, sir!” Oh, that last one bothered me. Because, of course, your failure was often the fault of others- at least on first inspection. Once, I had ‘laundry’ duty. That meant that I was responsible for leading a group of unlucky plebes in the distribution of upper classmen’s dry cleaning & clean laundry. Well. The plebe who was supposed to deliver the company’s dry cleaning to me was atrociously late! Consequently, I & my team were also late delivering the laundry to the upper classmen. Needless to say, I was severely ‘hazed’ by the upperclassman. I wanted desperately to blame the other cadet. I & my team were rearin’ & ready to go. But all I could say was, “No excuse, sir!” I burned over that one. But, upon reflection, I realized that I could have contacted this other person the night before and made sure he was ready to get his part done on time. It was then that I understood how authority, responsibility & accountability worked.

Kenneth Melson, “I was following orders”

“No excuse, sir” is a dinosaur. Thrown out as ‘old fashioned’ along with so many other wisdoms of the past. Authority, responsibility & accountability no longer go hand in hand as I was taught in my management classes. You can now have full authority and responsibility, but not be held accountable. This is the story of the Fast and Furious fiasco. continue reading

Good questions and good advice that will go unanswered and unheeded.

More Biden “Funnies”

I was pleased that Obama had chosen Biden as his running mate, because I thought that would seriously affect the election outcome.
Silly me.
These days, I am praying extra hard that Obama remains in good health.

It would be interesting to see the dynamic between these two over the coming years, but I suspect Obama will want to keep Joe in a closet as much as possible.

…The scene happened when Obama asked Biden to swear in some senior staff members of the new administration.

“Am I doing this again?” Biden said. He was apparently referring to the fact that he had already sworn in members of Obama’s Cabinet earlier in the day, including some people who were in the room in front of him at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

“For the senior staff,” Obama clarified.
“For the senior staff, all right,” Biden responded.

And then Biden said this: “My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts, Chief Justice Roberts.” The line drew an “oooh” from the audience, the kind one gets after serving up a zinger.

Chief Justice John Roberts, as millions of people saw on Tuesday, had slightly flubbed Obama’s original oath, which prompted Obama to do the same.

Obama did not laugh or even smile at Biden’s line. His look and body language were serious. Cable news outlets replayed the moment prominently…

Rachel Lucas (one of my favorite bloggers) has once again, in her inimitable way, stated it all too well.

“They think we’re more enlightened now.”
The Russians do, that is. Because we elected a black man. The Russians now think we’re enlightened, as do the French, English, Japanese, and so on. WELL THANK GOD.

The 99 Most Memorable, Interesting and Outrageous Political Quotes of 2008

The year 2008 was politically the most exciting and unusual in a generation. It hosted a long, divisive and drama filled campaign season that featured the rapid rise and fall of Rudy Guiliani, Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee, the unlikely rise of John McCain and Barack Obama, and the eventual bitter defeat of Hillary Clinton. It brought us an unusually long and brutal primary with emotional charges of racism and sexism, the rise of the Superdelegate, and the explosion of Sarah Palin upon the national stage. All of this was followed by a rough and tumble presidential campaign whose outcome may have never been truly in doubt but was still a never ending soap opera of charges, counter charges, personal attacks, character assassinations, rumors, smears and the occasional, unexpected surprise.

2008 also also brought us a huge spike in gas prices, more political scandals, a mortgage and credit industry in a state of panic and a sitting president who was almost completely politically powerless in the face of such challenges. Rarely does such an alignment of events occur in a single year and the resulting deluge of memorable political quotes is a goldmine for the blogger, columnist, political junkie, and all those who follow current events. Without further ado I present to you my selection of the 99 most memorable, interesting, and outrageous political quotes of 2008.

Obama’s “Natural Born” Problem

We The People

By now you are probably aware that there have been a multitude of lawsuits filed in regards to the question of whether or not President-elect Barack Obama is in fact eligible under the “natural born” provision of the Constitution of the United States of America to be the President of the United States.

The Constitutional provisions are very specific when it comes to the minimal qualifications for President. One is to be over thirty-five. He is. Two, is being in the country fourteen years. He has been. Three, is to be a natural-born citizen. The latter remains unproven, a matter of contention, and appears to be increasingly unlikely to be true.

There are several variations on this theme, but the general and most often made argument is relatively simple and straightforward.

The Plaintiff in one of the filed suits put it this way.

Since we are on the subject… Eligibility dispute, Part 2, scheduled by Supremes

Court rejects claim challenging candidacy, schedules another for Friday conference

(Obama’s citizenship problems)

Not even the U.S. Supreme Court can kill the dispute that has developed over Sen. Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office based on questions raised over his birthplace and citizenship and his steadfast refusal to provide documentation on the issue.

The high court today denied a request to listen to arguments in a case, Donofrio v. Wells, from New Jersey that addressed the issues. But literally within minutes, the court’s website confirmed that another conference is scheduled for Friday on another case raising the same worries…

…”If we didn’t do everything possible to let the Supreme Court justices know what a concern this is to millions of Americans, I would feel like I was letting down the Constitution and the men who framed it – not to mention every citizen of the United States living now and in the future,” Joseph Farah, WND’s founder and editor, said of the campaign. “This constitutional eligibility test has become a key issue with me because if the plain language of the Constitution is no longer taken seriously by our nation’s controlling legal authorities, we have become an outlaw nation – no longer under the rule of law but under the rule of men.” …

“Hawaii Revised Statute 338-178 allows registration of birth in Hawaii for a child that was born outside of Hawaii to parents who, for a year preceding the child’s birth, claimed Hawaii as their place of residence,” according to reports. “The only way to know where Senator Obama was actually born is to view Senator Obama’s original birth certificate from 1961 that shows the name of the hospital and the name and signature of the doctor that delivered him.”

Critics also raise the circumstances of Obama’s time during his youth in Indonesia, where he was listed as having Indonesian citizenship. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship, raising the possibility of Obama’s mother having given up his U.S. citizenship.

Any subsequent U.S. citizenship then, the case claims, would be “naturalized,” not “natural-born.”

As for me, I’d love to see Obama’s election declared invalid but then again I was hoping for some sort of superdelegate showdown between Hillary and Barack at the Democratic National Convention. I rarely get what I want… The rule of law would be nice, but that is an increasingly rare thing to spot these days.

I blame both Bush and Global Warming for that.

And for comparison purposes, I can’t get diddly, including a drivers license or social security card let alone cash a check or get a library card with my own personal “certificate of live birth” that currently resides in my baby book. But that is the only evidence that Barack Obama is eligible for POTUS. Interesting.

With Victory in Hand, Obama Aides Say Task Now Is to Temper High Expectations

Mr. Obama will hit that theme at a news conference he is expected to hold over the coming days, and in most of his public appearances from here on out, aides said. They said they would discourage the traditional yardstick for measuring the accomplishments of a new president — the first 100 days. Mr. Obama told an interviewer toward the end of his campaign that it was more appropriate to talk about the first 1,000 days.

Over the long primary and then presidential campaign we have watched the Messianic overtones, the Oprah proclamations of The One, the silly fainting crowds, the Styrofoam temple columns and carefully choreographed elegant pageantry. We have watched a political campaign surge to victory with “Yes We Can” and “Change” masquerading as substance. We have seen the tears, the jubilant dancing crowds and cries of “history”, “history” by people who don’t understand the first thing about history let alone ideology, policy, international affairs or current events. We have seen the promises to heal the planet, talk with tyrants, and slow the rising of the seas. Promises to cut taxes, spend an additional trillion dollars, heal the country’s soul, solve the woes of Energy and the middle class and to finally do whatever it takes to persuade the rest of the world to like us once again, pretty please.

The problem with unending eloquence with little true substance behind it is that sooner or later you may be called upon to deliver. We’ll get favors to unions and perhaps even a coordinated assault on the conservative Right (through the so-called Fairness Doctrine) and higher electric and energy prices but perhaps little else when it comes to campaign promises.  I believe the Left may be as disappointed with Obama as the Right will be.

The weaseling, shirking and excusing has already began and he’s not even the President yet.  DFV predicted that one of the first promises to fall will be the much vaunted middle class tax cuts and I believe he will probably be right.  Saying and doing anything and everything to get yourself elected president may be easy, governing with little more than that to go on may be hard.

Oh, and did I fail to mention that they will still continually “blame Bush” and Republicans in general for everything for years to come. One has to wonder how long you can continue to blame Bush before the statute of limitations wears out on that one.

Lastly, I present to you the average Obama voter, Peggy the starstruck moocher.

Dave’s Quote of the Day

In answer to the question, “what do we do next?”

On Scott Martin’s Live Blogging, one commenter suggested that the proper response is Newt Gingrich-style guerrilla conservatism. That sounds about right to me!

Our friends on the left gave President Bush no peace, no room, made no attempt to give the man a chance. They hated him for his win in 2000, and hated him even more in 2004. In the end, they got him in the 2006 elections, and finished the job tonight. While we ought to be politer than the left, we should still follow their lead, and give Mr Obama no peace, and no room to maneuver, as little freedom of action as possible.

We won’t win all of the battles, and probably will lose far more than we win. But when Bill Clinton, who ran as a moderate, took a hard left turn in 1993 and 1994, guerrilla conservatism spanked him hard in 1994; that’s what we need to try again.

When it comes to taxes, we must hound the next president on his promises, promises we already know he will break. When it comes to spending, we must hound him on busting the budget.

-Dana Pico at Common Sense Political Thought

Dave’s Quote of the Day – Obama’s I want you to pay far more for energy edition

The problem is not technical, uh, and the problem is not mastery of the legislative intricacies of Washington. The problem is, uh, can you get the American people to say, “This is really important,” and force their representatives to do the right thing? That requires mobilizing a citizenry. That requires them understanding what is at stake. Uh, and climate change is a great example.

You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.

They — you — you can already see what the arguments will be during the general election. People will say, “Ah, Obama and Al Gore, these folks, they’re going to destroy the economy, this is going to cost us eight trillion dollars,” or whatever their number is. Um, if you can’t persuade the American people that yes, there is going to be some increase in electricity rates on the front end, but that over the long term, because of combinations of more efficient energy usage, changing lightbulbs and more efficient appliance, but also technology improving how we can produce clean energy, the economy would benefit.

If we can’t make that argument persuasively enough, you — you, uh, can be Lyndon Johnson, you can be the master of Washington. You’re not going to get that done.

 -Barack Obama

“I was the first to call for a 100 percent auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

-Barack Obama

Democrat: Obama’s grandma confirms Kenyan birth

‘This has been a real sham he’s pulled off for the last 20 months’

The real fun with this story is not that Obama for any reason would be somehow decreed ineligible as the next President of the United States but that so much attention, time and energy has been spent on it by researchers and we have discovered that the Obama campaign either cannot or will not release his birth certificate. We have also discovered that there apparently is no oversight at all to the election process. Wouldn’t it be common sense and standard practice that some official or semi-official body like the Federal Election Commission require that all candidates for President provide proof that they are eligible to run for the highest office in the land?

He has held elected office on the federal level, won his parties nomination for President, and may very well be elected then next week as President all without providing proof that he is in compliance with the provisions laid down very plainly in the Constitution of the United States of America. Inconceivable, yet all too true in this wacky and crazy election.

My hunch is not that Obama was in fact born in Kenya, but that the name on the birth certificate is not in fact “Barack Obama” but some other, probably “Barry” with perhaps even a different last name (perhaps his mother’s?) and thus a cause of embarrassment for The One. Such speculations are indeed fun, though mainly conjecture and perhaps even conspiratorial. But much of Obama’s youth is purposely shrouded in mystery especially in regards to his Islamic schooling and upbringing in Indonesia. With that in mind, perhaps an actual birth in Kenya wouldn’t be all that surprising, but merely the icing on the cake when it comes to the strange, twisted and contradictory tale of Barack Obama’s life.

And for those of you who have studied history in any detail, the truth is far more often stranger than fiction. Obama may fall, and in many ways already does, into that category. Who would have thought that an “I vote present” product of the incredibly corrupt Chicago political machine with a Leftist ideology, a Muslim stepfather, a socialistic economic policy, a radical spiritual mentor, and who is personally beholden to a domestic terrorist for the launching of his political career  could be cruising to a relatively easy victory for the Presidency of the United States of America? If I had pitched that scenario to you two years ago you would have called me crazy yet that is exactly the situation we find ourselves in.

It will be a story to someday tell and retell my grandchildren decades from now that I lived through such a crazy time and saw such a bizarre aberration become historical reality in this nation. It’s amazing and dumbfounding all at the same time. At least I can say I was there to watch the cracks forming in the foundation of the great Republic.

And I dared to point them out…

From the article:

The Washington claim states, “If in fact Obama was born in Kenya, the laws on the books in the United States at the time of his birth stated if a child is born abroad and one parent was a U.S. Citizen, which would have been his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama’s mother would have had to live ten (10) years in the United States, five (5) of which were after the age of fourteen (14). At the time of Obama’s birth, his mother was only eighteen (18) and therefore did not meet the residency requirements under the law to give her son (Obama) U.S. Citizenship much less the status of ‘natural born.’”

Berg said he believed it also was a complication that Obama’s mother divorced his father, married and moved to Indonesia for several years and Obama attended school there at a time when, Berg said, only Indonesia citizens were allowed in schools. Records that are available from Indonesia revealed Obama was registered in school as Barry Soetoro, and his religion was listed as Islam.

When Obama later returned to Hawaii, within the United States, there should have been a government document affirming his citizenship, but that also cannot be found. If that was not processed properly, Berg said, Obama would be in a situation even worse than not being a natural-born citizen.

“If he didn’t go through immigration, he now is illegal and has been an illegal alien. He couldn’t even hold the position of senator for Illinois,” Berg said.

Further, Berg said he suspected Obama’s college records may indicate he received aid as a foreigner, and that’s why those records have been withheld by the campaign.

Good stuff!

McCain/Palin Surge in Minnesota

Despite the increasingly bitter and hostile character assassination attempts on her, Sarah Palin has increased the chances of McCain capturing the white house. In Minnesota alone, her candidacy and the GOP convention has resulted in the evaporation of a THIRTEEN point Obama lead and left the competition for the state a dead heat. It will be interesting to see how much influence she continues to have on the race as time goes on, but it sure gives us bloggers something to write about for the next 50 days or so.

Minnesota Poll: Obama, McCain are dead even in state

The poll found that McCain has made gains across the board since a May Minnesota Poll that showed him trailing by 13 points. He has picked up considerable support among men and to a lesser degree among women. He also has boosted his standing with whites, young voters and all levels of household income and education.

Also, do not miss Lawrence Kudlow’s The Sarah Surge. It is probably one of best articles I have read all year. The more the Left hates her, the more the voters seem to love her. And the earlier speculation about ‘whether’ white middle class women would be start defying Oprah and flee from the Obama cult has been answered. They are, and in large numbers.

…And look at all these headlines. The Washington Post has “Palin Energizing Women From All Walks of Life.” In particular, white women with children at home give Mrs. Palin a favorable rating of 80 percent.

Then there’s this lead story in the Wall Street Journal: “Palin lifts McCain’s support.” A WSJ-NBC poll now has the presidential race even, and it’s the Palin effect that explains the shift.

One in four Hillary Clinton voters now says the Palin pick makes them more likely to vote for Mr. McCain. And traditional Republican states like Georgia, Montana, North Carolina and Alaska – which Mr. Obama thought he would fight for – are now safely back in the McCain camp.

Dave’s Quote of the Day

“Barack Obama, a famous fan of pickup basketball, must recognize his plight:
It’s two on one now. John McCain drafted Gov. Sarah Palin, the star point
guard from the Wasilla Warriors, to double-team Obama. (McCain’s team doesn’t
care if no one covers Joe Biden, who seems to spend most of his time yelling
to the media, ‘I’m open! I’m open!’ But when he gets the ball, all he does is
talk about what a great player he is and dribble in place.)” —Jonah Goldberg

Abortions, pigs, white female voters and the implosion of a rock star.

Your humble messenger has always said that Republicans do not win elections, Democrats lose them. Ahh well – do you see what I mean? I wonder if Michelle’s husband Barry understands? As all the conservatives here have recently noticed, the Obama campaign is coming apart before our eyes.  Look at what has happened just in the last 24 hours.

Obama makes a gaff that even the audience that he is speaking to believes he is comparing Governor Palin to a pig. Now he is spending time addressing that. His message now is ‘I did not say what they said I did. I am not who they are saying I am.’ Can you imagine the laugh James ‘its the economy stupid’ Carville is getting out of this. I have a question: If Senator Obama can’t handle the heat from a hillbilly hockeymom, how in the world is he going to handle all the despots he has vowed to meet with?

Now the junior Senator from Illinois gets the privilege of dealing with this…

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate “ whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

One of the problems with being an elitist is you usually don’t think you are one. Fowler really stepped in it. Does anyone recall when Obama declared that the Republicans would play the race card? Between the candidate himself and his minions they have had to order more misogynist cards from Bicycle due to having dealt so many.

Are the wheels coming off the Obama bus?

The always ahead of the curve, Conclub wise men all agree that the Obama camp is having a hard time finding an effective way to counter the rather unexpected announcement of Palin as McCain’s choice for vice president. Now Palin has been on the “long list” since April and then put on the “short list” a few weeks ago. Did team Obama make no effort to come up with a coherent strategy to deal with McCain putting a woman on the ticket with him? Was this so unexpected that Obama now is complaining about the “politics of personality” (I thought he invented it) and virtually disappearing from center stage because of her?  For goodness sakes, he’s been running against a woman for months, yet it appears that the Obama campaign is very fearful of doing or saying something that may be construed as somehow sexist and having white women jump ship by the millions. Oprah may not be able to stem the flood if that happens.

This humble sage believes that the Obama camp never figured “old man McCain” would not be happy to play the role of sacrificial lamb, actually want to win this race, and make the bold move of picking a spunky, successful middle class woman governor as his running mate. It would appear they were so absorbed in their inevitability and self centeredness that they were completely taken unawares by the Palin pick. And when you are playing for keeps in the big game, you’ve got to never, ever underestimate your opponent. They fail to realize that they are not actually running against George Bush, but a John McCain who has successfully distanced himself from the current administration and given the ‘we need change’ and ‘we need reform’ voters another alternative than Barack Obama. Win or lose, McCain has given this race a good effort and I commend him for it. I don’t think anyone could have done a better job overall this far against the Obama machine playing while having to deal with the unhappiness of a grumpy electorate.

Team Clinton Says Obama Intimidated By Palin Factor

With the McCain campaign running tactical circles every day around the Obama outfit—which has failed, somewhat unbelievably, to come up with even a semi-compelling response to the Palin selection—one might think Mrs. Clinton, to say nothing of her sidelined husband, would be a useful surrogate on the counterattack right about now. Apparently, the Obama campaign does not agree.

“My concern is that I see them as totally reactive right now as opposed to getting out there on their own and saying what the hell they are about,” said Leon Panetta, a former chief of staff to Bill Clinton who has advised Mr. Obama. “They seem to be intimidated by the Palin pick. They seem to be intimidated by how the Republicans are coming at them on change. And you cannot win if you are constantly on defense.”

Mr. Panetta added, “As president of the United States you are going to have to learn how to deal with people you may not particularly like, because if you are trying to get things done, you have got to use everything and everybody that you can to get it done. I do think that they absolutely in this race have got to make use of the Clintons in every possible way, because they need them. He has clearly got some problems out there.”

Luck, lessons and someone’s gonna be a loser – Obama/Biden 2008

I can’t wait to see how long it takes someone to come up with some sort of “creative” Obama bin Biden  bumper sticker. Where is THB when you need him?

Joe Biden is now the official vice presidential pick for presidential hopeful Barrack Obama. While thousands of idiots Democratic activists and “insiders” are still waiting for that exciting “I’ll get to know first” text message Conclub will be moving right along and spare you the unwanted eye straining of waiting for the official announcement.

So what have we learned from this pick?

  • John McCain is the luckiest man alive.
  • The Obama camp was less worried about a creative electoral vote choice, or one based on gender to solidify the white women vote than they were about their nominee looking amateurish and unprepared when it came to national security and foreign affairs. That is very telling.
  • That Obama’s dream of cleaning up Washington and throwing out all the bums begins with recruiting an entrenched, career Washington politician whose son is a lobbyist to be his veep. Hmmmm…all talk and no walk. So much for ‘change’.
  • Delaware in now firmly in the blue state category.
  • Hillary will probably start her bitter “I told you so” Superdelegate tour sometime tomorrow.
  • This move leaves te door open for McCain to choose from a wide variety of options for his vice presidential choice. There are a number of electoral-based candidates that are now even more attractive (Tom Ridge or the governor of Minnesota for example) and it leaves the door open for a good woman veep that would help cancel out the “minority” novelty factor of Obama and provide an added appeal to more moderate soccer mom types and rejected Hillary supporters that may in fact be the deciding factor in this tightening race.
  • Obama’s own running mate is on record stating that Obama is not ready to serve as president (not once, but twice. The latest in August of 2007).
  • Apparently this quote about Obama really paid off in the end.  “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” – Joe Biden
  • There was no frickin’ way this was going to be Hillary.
  • Releasing this at about 1 am Eastern Standard Time was really, really, odd.
  • This was a ‘safe pick’ and probably in the end won’t matter too much anyway. But will it help or hinder, especially when compared to McCain’s pick?
  • Remember when Dole picked Kemp? Obama isn’t learning from history.
  • The media is now officially a pathetic, childlike entity who would gush and blush if Obama picked Hamburglar as his running mate. Have they no shame?
  • There is still a possibility that this is some sort of trial balloon or sinister plot by Hillary to take out the prince before he would become king.
  • Mark Levin is not Joe Biden’s friend. He refers to Biden as “the stupidist man in the United States Senate”. I can safely foretell that there will be no slumber party sleepovers in the Lincoln bedroom for Mr. Levin in the event of an Obama victory.
  • Rumor has it that MSNBC had Olbermann on the phone, in his jammies, saying that the timing was perfect and that the convention will start with a big exciting explosion. Good grief.

A look at things to come:

I really hope it’s Biden. You don’t want to say that too loud, but I really do hope that it’s Joe Biden, because we’ve got mountains of archival audio on Joe Biden. Plus, the arrogance factor times two. Biden and the Messiah would just be delicious. -  Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday

”Obama isn’t ready to be President and the job is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” -Joe Biden

“The only guy on the other side who’s qualified is John McCain.” – Joe Biden

Obama’s “Not Exactly”

This is the latest anti-Obama e-mail making the rounds. I have not checked the validity of each and every statement. I will leave that to the reader to judge the worthiness and validity of these assertions.

Obama’s Not Exactly:

1.) Selma Got Me Born -
NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google ‘Obama Selma’ for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)

2.) Father Was A Goat Herder -
NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter -
NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent govern-ments Kenya has ever had.

4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom -
NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Obama, is Odinga’s follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that….and for more.
Obama’s cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians’ homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter.. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/kenyas_killing_fields/index.html

5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian -
NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own inter-
views. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn’t allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.

6.) My Name is African Swahili -
NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side. While Barack Hussein Obama’s father was from Kenya, his father’s family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama’s father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father’s birth certificate even states he’s Arab, not African Negro). From….and for more….go to…..

7.) I Never Practiced Islam -
NOT EXACTLY, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office.
